Exactly right, The Blues at RIR3 willa lways be my fav version.

LIke I have said a million times, I can listen to the RIR3 version continously and it moves me and breaks me out in gooseflesh.

The 2002 and 06 versions put me to sleep.

And I always had a feeling they just played it too fast and settled with the final version (or what appears to be)

Doesnt really do anything besides touching on your subjective opinions about songs...everyone has them.

As I listen to this more, I honestly can't see how people aren't 100% in love with it.

I find it to be amazing.

Let's put it this way, my band covers Better and our drummer *hates* the song. After he heard the new one last night, now he loves it. It's that good.

It seems the fanbase is pretty divided on this. I personally can't stand this version, don't even enjoy listening to it.

Hahaha.....Actually he's just not a big GNR fan in the first place.

But last night after listening to this one, we got out of the car and on the way into the bar he said "Wow, Axl might just make me a fan yet!".

Your drummer sounds like an idiot no offense.

The new version isnt that much different than the old one, its still the same notes, melodies and lyrics just cleaned up a bit.

Sounds taken infront, others going back, clean drums, more sounds, less guitars, more guitars. But its still much of the same.

U are missing my point.

U hear a version and u get so use to that version that it is almost impossible to accept any other version.

had I never heard RIR3, Id probably love the 06 version but since I heard RIR3 first, no other version compares. that was my point about leaks.

U get use to an unfinished product and the finished product sometimes seems not as good cause u are simply use to the one u have had in your concious for so long.

Its not that big of a deal to be shot but RIR3 is amazing, everything about that song is unreal.

the 02 and 06 versions are slow, dull and boring in my opinion.

« Reply #2218 on: February 21, 2007, 09:52:31 AM »

this is ther finished version IMO, much more backing, mucher clearer vocals, keyboards, more production, although the solo'particularly bh's are a little lower to me. and this version has proper fuckin drums!

just my opinion!

thanks to everyone who posted me a link!

i was desperate for a while!

i like the new version better

the old one was too muddy and muffled sounding

this sounds a lot more crisper and well....mixed
