« on: March 14, 2007, 12:55:29 PM »

In my opinion is coming. but...... heres how I think it will go

Japan shows
South Africa shows
GNR then work their way to a ''huge fan base'' in South America
Chinese Democracy released
GNR then do a huge North American tour starting in Los Angeles, then go over to Europe to finish.
Break-maybe a long one lol....
next album/tour

Does this sound reasonable and likely? Does anyone disagree? Agree?

It makes sense to me.

GNR can perform in Asia, South Africa and South America without an album because this current lineup never played in these places (1 gig in 6 years in South America, no gigs in Asia since 2002, and no shows [never] in Southafrica)

But I think it should be not good to tour AGAIN in USA and Europe without the album.

If the tour/album is planned this way, the album might be out by the end of may.

Obviously, this is all cheap speculation.  peace

"next album/tour"

let's work on getting the one that was promised 13 years ago.

but other than that it would make sense. but at this point does it matter? i think there shouldn't be a 2007 Tour without a record to support.

I hope I'm wrong, but I really doubt the album will come out once they hit the road.

The last tour was called off because they couldn't finish the album while playing a few dates in California.  I doubt it's going to be any easier to finish the album while they're touring South America.

But maybe it will all be done by then.  Who knows?

I think the release date will be announced by the Asia shows, so they'll play Asia, Africa, and South America, album will come out, play a few more of those other countries that were mentioned (New Zealand, Thailand, Mexico) take a small break, play US/Canada, then Europe...

I'll say it right now: There will be no US tour without the album. I don't think Axl would do it this time.

Agreed......they gotta come out with some sort of CD update that is worthy and they gotta do it soon.....I am not saying that they are losing fans......but this is VERY close to becoming a joke. I believe in this band and I want to see them succeed. I never bash Axl or the band because there is a lot involved that we are very unaware of but........It is getting to the point to where Axl would be dedicating the song " DOUBLE TALKIN' JIVE MOTHERFUCKER" to either himself or his management.

Or...... they could tour this spring/summer in South Africa W/OUT THE CD.

After that's finished........ head back over to Europe this Fall and continue touring W/OUT THE CD.

Take another break for the holidays.

During the "break", announce Chinese Democracy has been mastered, handed over to the label, and will be released in early 2008 before the start of the 4th Chinese Democracy tour. ? ?rofl

These are markets GnR haven't played in (for the most part) for a long while. It makes sense to tour their to increase interest. It's not like it's another USA tour.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

1) Tour in about a month round Africa etc..... will be the same old setlist!
2) Return to US to rehearse new material/prepare for album release.
3) Release the album in late June/July - do press and promo in Europe then head back to the US to do the same - possibly play a couple of club shows in London/NY and LA
4) Tour the US, then back to Europe - it doesnt look like they are even penciled in to do any of the European summer festivals in July/August, so will do the US first to make up for the shows they cancelled etc

But the recording is done.....

I thought that was the deal from the start. Axl mentioned there were some minor things that needed to be done, and they got them done.

I'll see them again if the come back to the U.S. with or without the album.  The live shows are great.  I'm not one of the guys that bitch about the setlists either.  They change it up alot more than other bands.  I saw Oasis twice last year in the U.S.months apart from each other and both shows were not only identicle, but they played the songs in the exact same order for both shows.  And you know what?  Both shows rocked.  Not as much as GNR at the Target Center...but they were still good.  If you go to see a show because an albums coming out, you're odd in my opinion.

And IF the album is being mixed right now as reported, then duh...it really should'nt effect the tour.

I think the new album will be out VERY soon, before any major tours take place.  Maybe during the S.Africa and that will help the hype.  I believe that the planned tours are in support for the album and any new US and European dates will be announced towards the latter half of 2007.  It would be about time too.

First: Axl said there were minor things that needed to be done before turning in the album, not before getting it mixed.  I thought those minor things were probably mixing issues etc...

Seconds are we 100% sure theyre going on tour?  I mean have band members confirmed this BBF got probably like 2000 emails from fans, but from reading those questions, i didnt see him ever say "Im pumped for Japan on ..."  It just seems fishy to me that 30 days before the concert the website has nothing...absolutely nothing about the tour.  Maybe im wrong, but whose scheduling the tour, whose doing the travel arrangements, is there any 100% guarantee other than from promoters?
