Damn right I'm serious, but as I said before I enjoy both groups (GnR past & present) but when it comes to real talent you just cant deny or put down Scott Weiland...he HAS done MORE than Axl has.. ok

quality over quantity.  I'm not denying Scott is talented and theres some great STP songs, but come on.

Were they a world wide phenomenon like Nirvana or Pearl Jam? No....

I've said it before, they were like Bush (the band). Huge in North America, pretty unknown in Europe.

We're aware of that... but does it really matter?  Everyone is so quick to jump all over D when he mentions how worldwide and enduring Bon Jovi is ("Britney Spears is a worldwide pop-star too, that doesn't mean anything!"), but they use the same argument to defend GN'R when compared to STP.  It's just a repetitive argument that gets brought to the VR section, which I don't understand because it's brought by the same people who say that the "whiners" in the GN'R section sound like a broken record.

I love STP and VR and I do like Scott but Jarmo is right, Seriously Scott is like a B level frontman whereas Axl is a top 10 all time frontman.


If uhad a list of the top 50 frontman

Axl would be no worse then top 10? Scott would be lucky to crack the top 50.


that being said, I don't mind what Scott said, I have always enjoyed feuds plus Axl has the power to shut everybody up and its up to him to do so.

Its not the fans place to fight for Axl, its his place to release the album and shut everyone up.

Why doesnt it make sense Jarmo? Ive stated that I am a fan of both groups...and after all this is the VR section...not the VR BASHING..section..Ive stated my personal opinions and thats that...there are people that agree with me and there are people that dont, its funny how someone who mentions how great VR,STP and Scott and at the same time shows respect for Axl and the new guns is considered a fool or "Anti-Axl"

I'm not defending what he said at all.  I saw him call it a "fact" and think it's ridiculous... I was making a different point, it just happened to come up after his posts.

I think he is. Voice, stage presence, knowing how to work a crowd, moves, temper ... He's got all of it.

In any classement or article by rock/music magazines about great vocalists, he always on the top 3/5/10 yes

He had his heyday ? Yeah, sure Roll Eyes Like it's over now.
