2 - i didt think that was the post adz was refering to, i took it to be the post immediately above his.

Must bet the first band in history that's not able to tell it's fans who their drummer is. GNR is a band, not the Lambert family from Step by Step.

No, at this point it has reached the status of being a franchise. Pieces and parts are interchangeable as long as Axl Rose is on vocals. I mean we have had 25% line-up turnover in just the last year alone. If someone else left tomorrow they would be summarily replaced and life would move on. Just how a sports franchise is, the faces may change but the name remains the same.

A "band" would be someone like Led Zeppelin, who had 4 indisposable parts that were not replaceable. When Bonham died they shut it down, because it wasn't Led Zeppelin without him. That is the true definition of a band.

I like them bouth! But DAMN! Frank has played with TOOL! That says alot.. If Danny Carey let Frank use his drums.. well.. then im more then happy to have Frank in the band...  ok

I think both are still in the band. When Brain wants to play he plays, when he doesnt Frank does.

The baby story couldnt have been made up as a cover up Brain's departure as Brain played the 5 Cal/NV shows in september

My belief is that Brain is out, but GNR don't want to announce it because it would draw too much negative publicity. I can hear the complaints now, "GNR's ever changing line-up, revolving door, etc".

GNR won't ever announce that Frank has replaced Brain. And, eventually all this talk will just fade away as fans just accept Frank as "the drummer'.

Expect the same if there are more personnel changes.

I'd rather have Frank offically replace Brain(if its in fact the case), rather then have to guess like we are...

Its worse to have people not know the drummer, because its already known as the 'revolving door', whats another offical change??
