Has anyone heard who will be performing with Gnr on the next leg of the tour?  Is Brain still spending time with the family, filling in for some dates, or back in full capacity?

most people woulda been back more quickly than brain after a new born, so i think he's out, we just havent been told yet. But i also get the general impression frank is well liked in the band - as a bandmate and as a drummer.

Brain is with his baby.

And according to him, he'll be back to rock out with Axl and the boys in 2007.

So I wouldn't say he's "out".

Maybe the fourth or fifth Chinese Democracy tour will feature him.

They said BBF and Frank will have their "presence" felt.

But when asked, Ron said Buckets parts in the bridge in "Better" for example will most likely still be on the album.
So maybe Brain and Frank will both be on the album. Undecided

They should have a different drummer for each song, thirteen tracks, thirteen different drummers.
I don't think that's been done before. Go call Dave, Josh and 9 more drummers Axl!

Something is definitely "up" with the whole drumming situation because a band that is entirely happy with their drummer does not bring in another drummer to record on half of the bands songs for their new upcoming album. Women who physically birth a child go on maternity leave for less time than Brain has been gone, so I think that the whole "He's with his baby" thing made for a convenient excuse for Frank's entry into the band.

I believe this also. I mean, how come Brain couldnt play the Cali shows? He played with Bucket a few months ago in Cali, so why couldnt he play with Guns when they played in LA. I think Brain's out, they just havent said anything about it yet.  It doesnt really bother me either way cause I think Frank rules.

Plus on BBF and Frank's podcast, Frank seemed to sound like he was gonna be with Guns for a while.

I think that if Frank was just a replacement it's ridiculous that he needed to "feel his presence" in Chinese Democracy... maybe he is the new drummer n' a time ago (back in 2000 or 2001) Axl mentioned that Freese will be on the album... a lot of time (n' members) passed n' i think Axl want to re-record each part of the albuym that a former member recorded before... just beacause a reason: he's tryin' to show the world that this is a Guns N' Roses record n' there is a band...
Even solo record usually have a band behind so I don't think that the credits will say:
Lead guitars: Bumblefoot, Finck, Buckethead
Rythm Guitars: Tobias, Fortus
Drums: Freese, Brain, Ferrer, etc.
That's probably give the reason to the guys that're telling that this is an Axl solo album...

Wish I had the answer - but trying to figure out the official drummer is or if there is only one official drummer in this fucking band is like trying to figure out why someone would buy a Bon Jovi album Huh

exactly-the band should be open and truthful to its fans about the drummer situation. not just vague and meaningless words. is he gonna play with the band again or not? yes or no...

Brain, as he came up with all the beats for the album. All Frank has done is emulate Brain.
Having said that, maybe Frank is the man, as isn't part of the new Gn'R all about emulation hihi
