I bet it's a good movie.  Think about it, everyone laughs about them now, but they sold millions of records and knew they weren't legit - I'm sure they were laughing pretty hard at one point.

At the end of the day they were just pawns though by some big wig music industry fat cat.  Someone threw money at them to be rich and famous, but frauds, I'm sure most of us would have done the same.  Plus it'll be fun to see a movie showing the music industry in the 80s.  Hammer, Vanilla Ice...so many artists were huge back then, but are now punchlies.

I could see this being done like boogie nights where you get to see the rise and fall of someone set in a decade of decadence.

Regardless of who was singing, I liked their songs then and now...

They most certainly were used like shake n bake bags....

If you ever watched the BTM episode about them, you really ask yourself the same question: If it were me, would I have done the same thing? Would I have taken the same offer of money, girls, stardom, tv, music videos, fast cars, parties etc.... In a NY minute man......

i think it is a decent idea for a movie...not because their music was anything special...but it was one of the biggest scams in the history of music...maybe the biggest scam actually....would be interesting to see a story on it.....i thought the behind the music was pretty good....
