In light of recent topics...I thought this was interesting.

Today, Frenchie Davis, a former American Idol said she was upset how when old, nude photos of her appeared, she was kicked off of American Idol - yet when this years contestant, Antonella Barba, has racy photos of herself appear on the internet, she is allowed to stay on the show.

A press release from the show said Davis' pictures were pornographic while Barba only posed in lingerie.  Davis picture was her topless in a "compromising position" whereas there is a picture of Barba in a see through wet t-shirt at a WW2 memorial.

I'm confused.? I thought the pictures of Barba actually were porn, and showed her doing stuff, not just posing.? Anyway, I think it's pretty obvious that the producers have gotten more relaxed on the rules.? Besides, Frenchie had the chance to win, Antonella is horrible and those pictures are probably the only thing that's kept her in this long.? ?

The porn ones were fake.? They were of someone who looked very similar, but not of her.? As for the other photos of her that leaked, they were far from anything serious.?

Infact I think after Antonella loses on the show, she has a career ahead of her either way!

The Antonella saga is gonna expose some serious flaws in the American Idol process of weeding out the inferior singers.

She is not that good. In fact she is the weakest of the 12 females who started in the final 24. And yet she has survived 4 cuts. That's 4 far better singers that have been shown the door. If she makes it past this next cut, to the final 6 girls, than the producers will have egg on their face.

I admit I wanted her to make the final 24 because she is SO HOT! But now I feel as though that should not have mattered. The pictures that are showing up are HOT! American Idol is getting much attention from the attention Barba is getting. And attention pays the bills.

I agree completely. That's what I'm saying. It's because Antonella is hot and Frenchie was not. It shows how image conscious we are as a society. Looks sell, talent does not. The female who is heavy this year is prob the best female singer and I don't think she stands a chance at winning. Cuz of looks.

They were personal I believe that I read somewhere.  They're definitely not anything that I think should result in her disqualification from the show.  What woman doesn't have skanky pictures of her floating around on the internet these days?  It's the in thing to do!

Bill213 is correct.  I actually think Barba's a victim.  The sites that had her legitimate "artsy" photos also added in b-job pics of some porno chick who looks alot like her.  Now, all the uptight prudes in this country think she's some porno chick trying to influence their kids.  It aint right.   

BTW, Frenchie was the best damn singer that season!  I was pissed!!  Mandisa was the best in her year, and Lakeisha's the best this year.  Am I a racist for recognizing that large black women sing 1000 times better (range, power, etc.) than all the silly little white girls put together???  (ok, with the exception of McPhee who had some talent, but she was a first-class bitch)  (some might even add in Jennifer Hudson, but I wasn't a fan of hers.) (Clarkson and Underwood are good for what they are, but being a pop star doesn't take much talent...sorry)

PS  Barba's very good-looking...amazing body, pretty face...just a tad bit too much upper gum with the smile, but flawless otherwise.

Haha I never even noticed that......are we talking Geena Davis tooth to gum ratio?  In the spectrum of tooth to gum comparisons it starts with Geena Davis and tops off with Garey Busey. 

I actually like Kelly Clarkson for some reason.  She seems like she actually is some nice down to earth girl from Texas just trying to make it.  Of course it could be the opposite reality, but who knows.  Perhaps the fact that one Sunday I actually watched From Justin to Kelly on HBO may have jived my perception.  Who knows with these crazy things.  The girl just seems sweet.

Yes, Clarkson is sweet and has a great personality, but could she out-sing Mandisa, Frenchie, Lakeisha, or Melinda Doolittle?  Hell no.  Underwood seems like a nice chick too, but they both have voices made for pop or pop/country.

Yes, I analyze chicks with a fine-tooth comb.  It's a good talent to have as a married man.    It's kind of like Seinfeld having a problem with a chick who eats peas one by one.  Anyway, yeah, check it out tonight.  She has just a tad too much lip showing above the teeth.  She's no Geena Davis, but it is a tiny imperfection on an otherwise flawless bod and pretty face.

PS  I've seen the pics, just google antonella barba if you're 18 or over.  like I said, they have legit pics mixed in with porn pics of a chick that looks alot like her but isn't her.  She wears a North Carolina basketball jersey well.

Yeah i wonder if thats why frenchie got the boot, b/c she could actually win and they didn't want a former porno worker as their american idol.  Barba has NO chance to win (unless she releases more pics haha).  There is a debate that there was some bias involved whether it be based on race/beauty/body size....

either way, when Antonella gets the boot, playboy will be knocking on her door with a fat check.  i'll have to get that issue...for the interview only.  actually why bother, you can get half naked pics of her on the net for free
