hey guys

How this "Amplitube" works?? I?m a musician too and I?m hearing lots of people saying that Amplitube is aesome and simple to you record music on the tour bus, etc...

where I get it?? how to use??

Its pretty expensive, click on the link to read about it.

I don't think its that much better than the Line 6 stuff that I have for recording.

I just got Amplitube 2 and yes ... it's insane.  It's VERY good.

Now ... let me quickly say ... it will NOT replace, or come CLOSE to replacing my JCM900 Head/Cab setup.  It's never gonna sound as good.  But for jamming, and mixing into tracks, it's simply wonderful.  50 times better than the last version of the software.

You need low latency compatible sound hardware to use it.  I run ASIO drivers and set to 5ms latency.  That's basically realtime.

I just dont know more, I need just my guitar, 1 cable and the software on my computer??

Basically, yes, you just need a cable from the guitar to the soundcard line in / mic jack

The only problem is the latency... it depends on the drivers you're using and the hardware you have...

If your computer can't hold low latency (less than 6ms if you want realtime) you can get a cheap mixer... use the output for your amp, and a secondary output (headphones jack) to the soundcard.

That way you can record the clean signal, while you use your amp as monitor with some distortion... and then you can process the clean signal offline with amplitube to make a damn clean recording, eq, reverbs, distortion, etc etc etc

You can download the ASIO driver easily around (google it!). It helps a lot, but I can't manage to record the sounds in my Adobe Audition 2.0 with this option...

PROPER ASIO for the hardware. 

ASIO4All is software emulation.

KX Project is drivers that use the hardware.  They're insane and I do full low latency multitrack recording in realtime with Cubase SX 3
