I've been listening to this song a lot lately - I love it! One of my fav. GN'R songs.

Can't say that I would mind if they busted this one out again!

Thoughts?

Looks like it was last played at the Marquee on June 2, 1987 according to gnrontour.com

No way, Shadow by a long shot.  Just Another Sunday sounds very experimental...perhaps the song could have became something but the demo does it no justice.

A song I would have liked to have seen worked on and tweaked musically and lyrically was "Sentimental Movie".....I think it could have been a kickass little diddy.

yeah shadow of your love is a good tune i used to have but i lost it on my computer Sad but if i could choose one song that G'n'R would bring back it would be Crash Diet, great song kick ass solos its just to cool for it to not be on a CD same with shadow and just another sunday. Dont know to much about that other song, Sentimental Movie, i'll have to search for that one. Smiley

I believe it's Duff and Slash sharing lead vocals on the song.  No Axl, but still a catchy tune.  The lyrics get a little goofy at times, but definitely could have been a nice filler track with a little work.

your right..slash and duff do sing it it goes somethin like

you better change your attitude cause you know you know you want it too
you bring me all your Huh but i know you want it too
i could feed your bounty,if you feed my head as well
and i wont give you empty promises when the quarters in the wishing well

but this aint no sentimental movie, where dreams collect like dust
you talk to me with inoccence in your eyes,so now who can you trust

you think you look so cool, yes you do ,to take me for your fool
itching for your of the heart, baby i want a new start, but dont you be true
i can see through your door, you put my head into the door
you take my heart to the dockside, you put me in the car you take me for another ride

but this aint no sentimental movie where dreams collect like dust
you talk to me with inoccence in your eyes,so now who can you trust..trust trust trust trust

(awesome slash solo Cool )

put a babble to your race, and ill teach an old whore some new pain
the tears you cried, all the tears you cried tonight, you put me down but you cant put me outta site

and this aint no sentimental movie, you push it on,you grab it on but i dont see the tv
this aint no sentimental movie, cant see the screen, your startin to scream, abusin confusin your programs over

(slash starts a solo but keeps singin)

this aint no sentimental movie, you look so good, dont take me for another one of your scenes
this aint no sentimental movie, this aint no sentimental movie
the tears you cried all the tears you cried tonight yeah
this aint no sentimental movie(repeat fade out....)

Heres a list from wikipedia of all the unreleased GNR songs(ChiDem exluded hihi)

    * Bring It Back Home is a song that was recorded during the Use Your Illusion sessions at Rumbo Recorders in Los Angeles, CA.

    * Crash Diet is a song that was recorded during the G N' R Lies sessions at Rumbo Recorders in Los Angeles, CA.

    * Goodnight Tonight is a song that is known only to have been performed once in 1986 at The Roxy.

    * Just Another Sunday is a song that was recorded during the Use Your Illusion sessions at Rumbo Recorders in Los Angeles, CA.

    * Heartbreak Hotel is a Thomas Durden and Mae Boren Axton song, popularized by Elvis Presley, which was recorded by Guns N' Roses during the years leading up to the recording of Appetite for Destruction. The band played the song live a handful of times during 1986. Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin also played Heartbreak Hotel live at the 1988 MTV Video Music Awards with Tom Petty.

    * Jumpin' Jack Flash is a Rolling Stones song recorded by Guns N' Roses during the years leading up to and including the recording of Appetite for Destruction. It was recorded a few different times in different incarnations; a slow electric and acoustic version are available in the bootlegging community.

    * Sentimental Movie is a song that was recorded during the Use Your Illusion sessions at Rumbo Recorders in Los Angeles, CA. It features bassist Duff McKagan on lead vocals.

    * Ain't Goin' Down was a song that was used in the Guns N' Roses pinball machine. A full-length studio version can be found on various GN'R fansites. It was played live once in 1986 at the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles.

    * Too Much Too Soon was also recorded during the UYI sessions.

    * Cornshucker (sometimes called Cornchucker) was written by bassist Duff McKagan and was performed live once. An acoustic version was recorded during the sessions for G N' R Lies. It was considered too obscene to put on the album.

    * It Tastes Good, Don't It? was written by the band during a tour with Iron Maiden. On a bootlegged version of the song, Axl Rose states that they wrote it in an attempt to be kicked off the tour. During the band's early days, they would perform the song live, however, during the Use Your Illusion Tour, Rose would sometimes sing the first verse in the middle of the song Rocket Queen. This can be heard on the second half of the band's Live In Tokyo video.
