IK's Artist of the Month: Richard Fortus

Richard Fortus, guitarist extraordinaire for the worldly famous metal band, Guns N' Roses, is IK's artist of the month. Fortus is a big fan of IK products, especially the new StealthPlug and AmpliTube 2 Live. Portable and easy to use, the StealthPlug and its impressive software bundle, which includes AmpliTube 2 Live, is Fortus' choice especially when on the road with Guns N' Roses. Fortus exclaims, "The StealthPlug is just awesome!"

Click here to check out more about what Richard has to say about IK's StealthPlug.

IK's award-winning Miroslav Philharmonik and AmpliTube 2 are also some of Richard Fortus' IK favorites.

"Not only did Miroslav Philharmonik improve the sound of my orchestral arrangements, it cut my production time in half!" says Fortus of this amazing orchestral virtual instrument workstation. "I can't imagine life without it!"

Fortus adds, "I love having the ease of AmpliTube, having everything you laid out right there - very easy and great sounding."

How long before someone assumes that this equals promotion and that CD is near? Remember the whole Spencer's gifts, GNR artist of the month speculation.

Good for Richard. Underrated, maybe underappreciated by some.

If you follow the links in the article there is some great insight into Richards background with violins and it mentions the anticipated CD....so great positive advertising.

Recognition? It's a commercial. There was a similar article last year (october/november?). Richard is "Artist of the Month" selected from the group of musicians who endorse IK products. It's not really anything to celebrate.

Yeah, I only know a few Guns n' roses songs I would call metal (Coma, Locomotive,...), but a "metal band"? Come on!

So why recognize Richard?? He's basically unknown to the public.... Besides us and fans of his previous projects.. I doubt they'd put me on there if I said I used their product...

Richard is the man. Other than Axl he's the only reason I give a lizzards cunt about this band.
