When you release a new record you?re supossed to promote it and all and for that you need the media ...
I'd like everyone in here to focus their thoughts on that sentence..  Tongue

Seriously though I think he can handle it just fine.

I don't believe there's a reason...

One thing I must say is that he will do a lot better now than he would have if the album came out in 2002.  Im not into men or anything, but its hard to argue that 5 years of aging actually helped Axl's looks a lot.  I mean the braids will always get people laughing, but hes thinned out and looks a lot more natural and healthier.

i see you had to make it clear that you are not a homosexual to be able to recognize another man's looks, shows alot of maturity and security on your part!

who would laugh at axl's braids? 1. his braids look cool on him, 2. i havent heard anyone in real life criticise him for THAT, 3. the ones who make fun of someone's hair is usually running out of real arguments anyway so it's all good. who cares.
noone would laught at Axl's braids. He is just pointing something that he thinks is wrong with Axl. He will always see something wrong about someone in the band. I prefer his "original" hair, though. I'd like to have that hair.  hihi

IF the cd is ever released, any mention of it in the media will either be sarcastic or part of a joke. For Axl, it's deserving. You take 14 years to work one ONE album, people will talk shit. For the rest of the band, hopefully it's not like that.

of those 14 years, he was 10 inactive. So what? If the media thinks that Axl Rose should take 1 month to record an album, like those hip-hop shitty groups or 1 month and a half like those emo groups it's their problem. They can talk what they want.  ok

You know, The Beatles recorded and released quite a few albums in a pretty damned short period of time.  Their music is pretty good.

The Axl factor is set for a big test in my opinion.

There are two possible outcomes for him and the album to battle against.

The first is the 14 years for this crap press that will be out there.? The media, and particularly those whose won't be getting an interview with the great man, will always be comparing the new line-up to the pre-1996 era, how the edge has beeen lost without Duff, Slash et al and be saying it isn't AFD is it. The initial consequence will be that the Die-Hard gunners will buy the album and over a period of time the sales will be made.

The second, and for what its worth, the view I believe is that the music industry will be impressed by the deep lyrics and maturity of them, how the band has gotten clean, no more celebrating the merits of drink and drugs... but the reaching into the soul of his (Axls) feelings and expressing his thoughts with a tremendous album which will be even better than AFD. The reason I say this is that the New Band is no longer news, its been tried and tested and have delivered the goods.? The slash, matt and Duff factor is that VR aren't pulling up trees in the music industry, the old fans have remained loyal to them to some degree, but they ain't Guns n' Roses.

This year the band will be reclaiming the mantle as the biggest band in music, with the best album and with a massive tour. speculation on my part I know, but I have got this feelin'... ok

Like someone else said, The Beatles put out albums pretty quick. The Doors released 6 albums in 4 years. Iron Maiden has put out like 30 albums in under 30 years. Hell, GNR put out 5 albums in 7 years.

It doesn't take 14 years to make an album. For 10 years he was inactive? That's his fault.
