they shouldve released more singles but somehow this record only sold a million in the us but did go platinum and gold in over 30 other countries
because all these guys are downloading instead of buying.
download it to try, by all means, but support the artists
OK, I'll get off my high-horse now...
Great album...playing Tear tight now. Love Venice Queen...also love Fortune Faded off their Greatest Hits

I bought the cd when it first came out. And I agree, the whole cd is great. I never really got into a Chili Peppers cd like I did "by the way". One of the few cds made that you can listen to without skipping a track. Flea is a fucking bad ass on bass.

I love albums like that. It's hard to find them also. My freind has this cd I'm going to listen to the whole thing on Wednesday.

awesome, let us know what u think
this cd takes a few listens to fully appreciate every song but now all of them are so awesome
a dark horse track is "cabron" its so different but makes u dance and feel good, so does minor thing
my least favorite probably is either this is the place,on mercury, throw away your television or by the way
heres how i rank the songs
1.tear
2.dosed
3.cant stop
4.zephyr song
5.universally speaking
6.dont forget me
7.midnight
8.venice queen
9.by the way
10.warm tape
11.cabron
12.minor thing
13.i could die for you
14.this is the place
15.on mercury
16.throw away your television
this is how i rank em, all songs are good but this is my order 1-16
i was disappointed when tear or midnight didnt get single released

I agree it is a great song but not the best on that cd...Dosed is a far superior tune
RHCP always have the hook to draw ya in
The vocal harmonies are all Frusciante's genius. Apparently he went and studied them for years and is like uber obsessed with them.

Steven's drumming made the band; he made a big musical difference. His sense of swing was the push and pull that gave those songs their feel, afterwards, nothing worked.

Venice Queen is my fav song on the album, you should see and hear the version of VQ on the Live At Slane Castle DVD, it gives me chills! it's probably the best concert DVD Ive seen
John is pure gold for RHCP, everything this man has done in the last 6 years is completely amazing! I love everything he plays on.
not to mention that he's the best backupsinger around!
incredibly talented guy, he continutes to amaze me time after time

order it man! you will NOT be disappointed, Anthony is right on tune through the whole show as well! I don't understand why people say he's a bad live singer..
the best part of VQ is from where John's acoustic guitar kicks in and through the rest of the song...amazing stuff!

no doubt, i should be able to pick that up in the next couple days, i cant wait!
anthony like axl puts out alot of energy, lot or jumpin, movin, etc so its hard for singers like that to be dead on point all the time but he still rocks!
i love john's guitar on "cabron" what an under rated awesome song, this song just reminds me of summer and hanging out with friends cruisin around, just thinking of life and my future, awesome!

better yeah, but not as much as you may think. the thing is, we've heard WTTJ for the past 17 years or so...
there wouldn't be much to listen to if you're only going for the stuff that are better than WTTJ either!

everything is a different style than wttj but there are alot of songs that are as good in myopinion as wttj, however wttj is like an anthem, the chili's were goin for something alot different on by the way, its just an amazing beautiful, mellow masterpiece of greatness that song for song is the greatest record since the illusions in my opinion
i mean im the biggest bon jovi fan in the world but "by the way" stayed in my cd player in my car for at least 5 months consecutively, it never gets old

I've never heard don't forget me live. I bet it's the fucking shit. A few of my friends went and saw them this summer and said the song was off the hook. I think I might have to pick that DVD up.
