(sorry to have started a new topic about this ?  ) i was listening to the radio station i listen to out of Omaha, NE (Z92) and after the 3rd time they played Better the guy siad that it was a cover from a song by the Smiths  is that true? is Better a cover or a re-write or anything like that? i just thought it was a great song to come from Axl and Robin ?  |

It was a planned and staged release to get feedback and create a buzz for the upcoming album. Maybe even part of the "promotion." The fact that so many stations across the nation are playing the song suggests that the "leak" scenario is not tenable. |

krispy i don't know if that's true but if it is it'd be brilliant.
they did start playing the leaks on tour and everything but i'm still not convinced.
bbf seemed to speak out against the leaks, whereas axl just made jokes about it on tour calling us "dowloading motherfuckers" and then smiling.
it's hard to say with GN'R, who knows.

I dobut it... Those stations are more prone to Top 40 scripts... Our stations have a playlist from thousands of albums, and usually play unreleased material from any band that they play! |

I don't know, but when I woke up this morning I took a leak... and now I feel Better. that made me laugh i have to say and yeah good point. You think they'd play it if someone E-mailed them the link to the leak or something like that and said it was by some "new Hip cool and da shitest band" to come out of the 80s   i might try that tomarrow  |
