First video - your predictions and ideas

What about this project is "reasonable" or "normal" to you?

My personal prediction is that Axl / GNR will do the smart thing and have 2 or 3 videos already in the bag, before they go out on a world tour.

Which it looks like they're gearing themselves up to do to me. 

That's what I would do. Have a lot of shit in place and ready to go so that there would be minimal distractions to such a tour.

Just my opinion.

I posted this on thenewguns.com, but I think maybe you guys would like to read my ideas about a Better video:

Well, I would shot it in an empty arena, with the band playing "live" (kinda like the Foo Fighters video One by One). At first, within the riff from the intro, it would be just Robin in the spotlight, with all dark behind.

Then, when the verse starts, it shows the pyro and the whole band playing in the back. Would be cool to have Axl with his sunglasses in a blur focus, like that Woody Allen movie. Once he starts the chorus, it shows him with the regular focus, but when he starts to yell at the heavy part, his focus starts to shake like hell (I dunno if I can explain it properly, but oh well).

The band HAS to be showed a lot. Once Ron starts to shred, the editing should be crazy, showing all the angles really fast. Frank (or Brain) would be shot most in his back, to show the band playing and the empty seats in the arena.

But then, when it goes into the break with Pittman bubble sound, then it shows all them in slow motion, till Axl starts to sing again. While Robin play his solo, he starts to have this shaking focus like Axl.

When the song cames back to Axl's last verses, it goes back to the original, but with the arena full, with sold-out shows footage (like NY). Then, in the end, it shows people from the first row singing along, and it turns out to turn up the lights and they are back in the empty arena, "alone".

Nothing too fancy, just showing the band rocking.

I'm sorry for the long post and/or if I had a hard time trying to explaining what I think, lol.

This is what I'm really hoping that we get!!!   

If I were in Axls shoes, I'd release a super-amazing song that nobody has heard yet except Axls insiders.   

I.E: - NONE of the leaked tracks whatsoever.   

I say fuck that idea in a big-ass way.

first video "better"- the main part of the video will be shots from 2006 tour and that is

second video "madagascar"- very hard song with very strong video (something like gnr trilogy),but i would make a little religious concept of video

just watched mtv making the video, don't remember what band or song but even though the video only took a day to record it took 2-3 weeks editing and stuff

First video will be for Chinese Democracy, recorded in China.

Maybe the first video could be one of those "Recording of the song in the studio" videos. As long as you get the 39 people who have been in GnR since they started recording to sign off that it's OK for them to be in the video. And Axl could age 13 years from the beginning to the end of the video. No special effects in the world could top that.
