In the ongoing saga of when the world will finally see the release of GUNS N' ROSES forever-in-the-making new studio album, Chinese Democracy, BW&BK sources have learned that a representative of Universal Music has CONFIRMED that said album is "no longer on the schedule".

Recently the album has had a tentative release date of March 6th. Stay tuned for updates.

GN'R recently announced that they will be hitting the road starting in April.

The first leg of the Chinese Democracy World Tour 2007 will see the goup performing in Japan, Thailand, South Africa, South America, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand.

The following Japanese dates have been announced:

April
14 - Tokyo, Japan at Makuhari Messe
15 - Tokyo, Japan at Makuhari Messe
18 - Nagoya, Japan at Rainbow Hall
21 - Osaka, Japan at Intex
22 - Osaka, Japan at Intex

More dates to be announced soon.

Keep in mind this website's "source" also claimed the album would be released last November 21st I believe.

To be honest, I don't think this is a big deal. They can put the album on and off the schedule as many times as they like...when that album is finally sent to them, they'll be certainly quick enough to get their act together and get it released.

daz is correct. it's off the schedule cause the official word is there is now no official release date. it doesn't mean the record won't be out soon. it means dick all - surely by this stage people, particularly the hardcore, shouldn't care about any reports unless they come from official, named sources.

It was never going to be released on March 6th.

Axl is always late, heck the guy will be late to his own funeral.

When Axl hands over the album to Universal, then a release date and schedule will appear. Until then there is no point to have it on the upcoming releases.

I checked this with a contact at a record chain a few days ago, and "Chinese Democracy" is not on TBA list. This company is conservative with their data about releases, so I believe they base it on information from the record companies. This probably doesn't mean much, because I believe there's been enough signs to conclude that the record company isn't exactly supportive of the release. So I guess the album COULD still be just around the corner.

If someone knows more about how this works, that would be cool.
