Hey Everyone! I am usually a lurker on the board have been for the last couple of years but after reading Axls open letter to his fans i felt the need to post. I just have to say Axl you rule and its nice to have and ?offical statment from Axl and its nice to know whats been goin on the last couple of years he sounded really sinceare. I would just like to say Axl I am with you and support you to the very end.

Thanks Axl, for comunicating with us. Thanks for being a model and a figure to follow in past years. Thanks for teaching us that sometimes you have to behave your way to teach people to show some respect. Thanks for the music and your art. But mainly, thanks for ALWAYS being yourself trough the years and not dissapointing your fans becoming another joke like bono or Ulrich. Thanks for being loyal to your fans, but thanks for being loyal to yourself.

He meant that the original plan was for CD to come out this year, which means by December 26th- that being the last album release date of the year.

I think axl learned that the saying " If you want something done right, DO IT YOURSELF." is a good one. I understand him putting his trust in Merck as merck was hired to handle this. Looks like axl is running the show with resept to the album this time.

You know, this may get deleted, but I do feel that I owe Axl an apology. I have been real hard on the dude but that statement really went beyond of what I thought we were "owed". I don't retract anything I said, by any means, but I'm not going to go on about "he should have done this a long time ago" but I now have a much greater appreciation for what he's gone/going through to get this album out.

I just want to say sorry for assuming he was an arrogant and smug rockstar who didn't give a shit about the fans. The fact that he was not happy about the way the fans have been treated for the same reason that I, and others here, were pissed off about completely changes my opinion.

Thank you Axl Rose, your integrity and vision has held on through all the trouble brought upon you. And here you stand, thanking your fans. Im soo damn proud to be a fan, so proud to support the new band. When all my mates said it would never come out and axl sucks we want slash, i stuck with it. and now i get fucking pay off.

I went to see the birmingham show 25th July 2006 what a night, never before have I seen a man like axl with sweat running and constantly dripping off him to the floor, just one of the signs he was working his ass off giving his all to the world.

I love this band.

but did he say March 6th of which year? please be 2007.

OK, so I may be wrong about the fate of the band if the album doesnt come out by years end (which we now know it wont), but Axl couldnt put a stop to merk's bullshit...why exactly? I mean. merk was makin those bullshit statements not long before Axl musta known the album wouldnt be out in 06. I'm back to "I'll believe it when i see it" I'm afraid.
