I'd just like to say thanks to Axl!
Very informative and EXACTLY what the fans wanted to hear. I've regained all my enthusiasm for the band now!

"In the end, it?s just an album, but it?s one that I, the band, our record company and all involved believe and feel is a true Guns N? Roses album. Ultimately the public will decide, and regardless of the outcome, our hearts, lives and our passion has been put into this project every step of the way. If for no other reason, we feel those elements alone merit your consideration. We do hope you can hold on just a bit longer, and if not, please take a break and we?ll be more than glad -- if you so choose -- to see you again later."
To me, this makes up for all the frustration and not knowing what was going on with the album all year, and the realization that it won't be out in '06. ?A *very* well said conclusion to the letter.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH, not what I wanted to hear today
Well I believed that we would hear from GnR before the end of the year, but not like this!? Succesful tour ends up in ruins, turmoil and dust; Manager fired, some work needs still to be done on the album....
So weird that everything is Mercks fault now: He sat up the tour for a cash grab, is obviously incompetent, had a "just appear on the shelves" strategy while the RECORD COMPANY (that was the last party that I expected to be involved in delaying the album, touring and advising Axl) wants another release strategy!
So if Merck is fired now, who is in control? (Hi, Axl if you read this: I HAVE A MASTER IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS; NEED A HELPING HAND!?!?
)
The good thing is though that we have for the first time ever a release date by Axl(if no further delays appear ROFL).

reading the letter again:
It is almost scary how much the words reflect and answer to the opinions of the forum. I guess now we can be sure that Mr. Rose visits this forum sometimes. These letters are truly a great way to communicate with the fans; wished he would have done it more often.
Anyways the best of luck, hoping the best for the album release and handling all still upcoming difficulties.
And be assured Axl,
we will always stuck with you through all the fuckin shit
; despite all the complaining and bitchin: we`re still here, still rockin`!!!!

I think we all knew secretly that it wasn't coming out this year when December rolled round with no news on the CD. 3 months (hopefully) isn't long to wait. Keep up the (good or bad!) communication when you can, Axl.

I've always found that "13 Tuesdays left in the year" was a stupid thing and unapropriate to say and uncalled for.
At least now he promises to let us know right away that there will be a delay. Better then nothing.

Thanks Axl, this really means a lot. No worries, we can wait until march! I just know this thing is gonna change the face of music and shut all the critics up for good. By the way, I'm still hoping you'll use the word "doodoo" tonight.

First of all, GNR had a very successful 2006. Alot of success in Europe, and alot more success in NA then in 2002. We heard 3 new songs this year as well. We have also now a tentative release date, something never had from GNR before. 2006 was a success for Guns N' Roses. And how many fans said if the album wasn't released this year, they'd atleast like a date, well we got it. So we'll see what happens. But by no means is 2006 in ruins or disappointment, I don't want to hear that.
