My guess is that if "Better" is indeed the first single, they are using footage from the North American tour for the video.
March 6? ?Are you kidding me? ?That's 3 MONTHS away. ?

I would be careful on telling people that March 6th will be the release date. ?Axl said himself that it's not for sure.
However, doesn't it feel nice just to hear something? ?

It is great to finally hear SOMETHING regarding the CD. ?Maybe that's what Axl was referring to the other night when he said he wasn't supposed to talk about it, but now that Merck is gone he's free. ?And he at least makes it seem like we'll be in the know from here on out, as far as any changes to that March 6th date. ?At least I hope.

I'll only believe him when it's in my hands but at the moment I'm fuckin' shocked. It's hilarious that Merck finally got what he deserved!

UN. REAL.
I had hopes that it would just show up but, because Merck filled our heads with that shit.
Seems like it
really
is being wrapped up and with proper promotion,it'll destroy the industry come March 6th.
Thank you Axl for the acknowledgement and the detailed update. This contact with your fans is very necessary.
Hopefully, this'll be the last kind of letter we get.
? Like I've always said,
no matter how long it takes
,I'll be there.
? ? ? ? GN'R FOREVER!!

P.S.- I officially "throw my hat into the ring" to be Guns N' Roses' next manager! I have marketing experience!

OK...be honest...
Did anyone else tear up just a little when you got to the end? I did.
Why?
Because it seems like for the first time, there are GENUINE thoughts and concerns expressed DIRECTLY AT US from Axl.
Do I believe Axl himself wrote this? Of course not...I'm sure his team of spin doctors and maybe even Del James punched it up a bit...but it IS signed by Axl, so I believe these words are expressing his true sentiments, and for once, I appreciate the way he laid out so honestly.
(Just the end bit though...I hardly believe Merck was behind everything bad, just like Buckethead, Slash, etc)
But go back and re-read the APOLOGY and his GRATITUDE to the TRUE FANS...and his appreciation of our support and patience. I think after all this time he really realizes it's the people on this board and others that have truly been behind him all this time, and always will be.
It's really nice hearing that from him.
YES, I am a little teary but more like FREAKING OUT!

the "CHINESE DEMOCRACY STARTS NOW" thing has just gotten stupid. it was cool 7 years ago, but now its just kinda a joke.
Looks like its march ?

Finally, a little light has been shed on what is going on. I'm satisfied. After having the Guns experience on Nov. 20th, I'm lookin' forward to hearing music next spring

wow this is crazy, so all those axl dissers can go screw themselves because he was probably fighting this for a long time.

This was compounded by an overall sense of a lack of respect by management for the band and crew and each individual?s particular expertise that has resulted unfortunately in the end of both Guns and my relationship in having a management or sense of band involvement with Merck Mercuriadis.
im still confused though, he is saying that lack of respect by management has ended both Guns?? im pretty sure thats not the reason why the original guns broke up and i dont think the new guns are breaking up, maybe i dont understand the sentence and someone will explain??
I think he is saying it ended both Axl's relationship and GNR's relationship with Merck.

its a TENTATIVE date.
I mean it could go a couple weeks ahead of that, but nothing more than a month. ?If they're trying their hardest to get it out, it should be out by the end of March at the latest.
But how much can we REALLY blame Merck? ?This letter, with all of its answers brings more speculation. ?I'm sure Merck was rightfully fired; he probably did something like say the album was going to be released even after it was thrown out the window for 06, or something.

Kinda makes me wonder what legalities have been going on behind the scenes.
If anyone remembers Donnington, in which axl absolutely berated Merck after YCBM....it was obvious something was going bad.

The tentative date March 6 has made all the difference I think. We have all been speculating for years how we would hear some sort of date, and in the end Axl did it in a kinda anti-climax setting in the form of that letter - but he was willing to do that because he knew we had held on for years and we all thought it was happening this time around, and probably thought a lot of us would have lost faith. In the end he kinda even hints at that. Good work Axl and thank you!

Thank you Axl, you did the right thing, and I just gained back a lot of respect for you. See you on night 3 in L.A.
And fuck Merck right in the ear...what a tool.
I'm hoping March 6th, but UYI was supposed to be out in May '91 and didn't show up til September...so we still have no idea. I wish him luck though.
Axl may piss me off in some ways (like the obvious - I will be going to bed at about 4am Thursday morning after 'Wednesday's' show and getting up at 8 for work thanks to his 'unique work schedule')....but he's obviously been working his ass off this year. Cheers to that...I wish him the best of luck.
