Chris Cornell sings on it. How bad can it be? Wink

Cochise is excellent.

Just hearing the opening made me say 'thats RATM'

Cornell isn't that bad, he tries alot and does have angst in his voice.

Waiting for Zach's solo record though

I got the cd last week when it hit the stores on Tuesday!  I'm really enjoying it!  My favorites so far are #7 Shadow on the Sun and #14 The Last Remaining Light...although I really like I Am the Hightway, too.  Really having trouble deciding which I like best! Huh

this is just a heavy mother .. i haven't heard anything as good as this in a loong long time....

they're my fav ., new" band..usually the so called ,, new bands" really suck.... Audioslave is a great band.....

almost every song on the album is great .... Like a stone, What you are, Cochise, Show me how to live and Gasoline really sstick out

it's a matter of taste i guess, but in my view this is just the best album of the last 5 years or so ... maybe exageratting.... but maybe just a bit.... it'as pretty exciting to see what they're gonna do next ....

Brilliant band.....

I like it, but I wouldn't call it anything special at all.

Cornell's voice is excellent, but i'm not a big fan of Morello's playing, and generally most of the songs are pretty much the same.  Not very creative, powerful or original, but it's good for a listen when you're in the right mood.

Well, since this thread got back on top, and since I was the one who started it, I have to comment on the album.

After listening to the album for a long time I must say that it fuckin rocks.

Cornell is awesome and the band is doing great. It's one of the great albums in my collection.

Everything Louder Than Everything Else

I think it's a pretty good album.  Morello's playing isn't my personal favourite style, but it's original, and that's A LOT more than anyone else is doing at the moment.

The only thing that bugs me about the album is that Cornell's voice seems to lack.....power.  I don't know if it's just the mix, but he kinda sounds weak.  Undecided

Steven's drumming made the band; he made a big musical difference.  His sense of swing was the push and pull that gave those songs their feel, afterwards, nothing worked. ~ Izzy Stradlin

Yes... I love driving with that, "Like A Stone", or "Getaway Car" REALLY LOUD.....

FUCK, I really like this CD a lot, easily as good as anything put out by Rage or Soundgarden.

Like a Stone is my favourite song on the CD, at first when I heard it was a single I didn't think it was the best choice.  Then I really listened to it......... BEST song on the album.

Everyone I know seems to like "Set if Off" as the big rocker, I prefer Gasoline.  Hypnotise has a REALLY fucking cool sound and the drumming is insane.

I only hope that Audioslave does what they claim and become a "real" band that puts out more records.  If this was a one off thing, great, but I really want to hear more.
