well... Axl seemed a little pissed about lining up shows before the album was finished last time. Then he canceled shows to work on the album.

If shows are scheduled for April, and if Axl still thinks that the album should be finished before shows are scheduled...

...then... the album is probably to a point where he is satisfied enough to divide his attention between the final stages of production and readying a tour.

Or the South Africa dates are fundraisers.

The contract negotiations are what scares me. It sounds like the album was basically done. However, contract negotiations are tricky and can come to a dead halt/stalemate very quickly. I hope that is not what happened. Undecided Read Merck's letter, there is alot at stake here for all parties and it has to be done right. Compromise may be hard to come by.

it basically just talks about some graphic designer who did some experimental work, including his version of the gnr new album cover.

I think GnR still has a chance to release it in March, a number of artists have just recently announced albums in March/April so I think they still have the time, only if they announce it pretty soon though...

that?s true, but GnR haven?t announced anything yet.
Just rumors.... Huh

 From RS Rock&Roll Daily Today

 * Guns N? Roses? April 27th and May 1st festival in South Africa (the first ever for the band) look increasingly less likely to come in support of the release of Chinese Democracy. Remember March 6th? It?s now a month away.

The people at Rolling Stone are asshats.  I wouldn't listen to anything they speculate.

Me going to school and going home and hanging with friends or doing homework is the most likely scenario. Maybe if I get lucky I'll work. But no Chinese Democracy or Detox (Dr. Dre's new album from 2002/2003/2004/2005/2006/2007) for me that day.  rofl

At this point it's easy for anyone to point to GN'R and say "The album ain't finished.  It ain't coming out on (x) date."

And CD is not coming out on march 6th, so no one should even look forward to that date.
