Axl does not have to tour the world before CD is released.

Or didn't have to.

Perhaps he wants to?

Or didnt have to...? He hasnt done it yet.

He probably does want to. so he can have that 20th anniversary reformation. afterall, thatd mean he never has to release the album he's obviously so shit-scared of any1 ever hearing. Im just sounding off coz im gettin sick of it so i dunno if i really believe that but its certainly a possibility.

You should look into recent history of the band such as the 2002 tour, where they did in fact do a world tour.

Also I would have thought everyone knew this, but there isn't going to be a "20th anniversary reformation".

how do you no there isnt gonna be one?

in 2002 axl did a half arsed, and prematurely terminated "world" tour, with no intention of releasing an album. and we know that.

When you guys are saying "20th anniversary reformation", what are you implying? The original line-up??   Huh

jimmy iovine runs universal . wich oversees geffen and interscope , he wil have the last say

Jimmy will have the final say but he doesn't run Universal. Doug Morris does, Jimmy reports to Doug.

Yeah, thats what im implying at least. or something very close to it. But i did did also indicate im just bein cynical that thats what axl really wants, and thats the real reason everyhting has taken so long. it may well never happpen, especially not this year.

and im not sayin there WILL be a reformation this year and the new band and album will be scrapped, im just sayin that its an outside possibility. im mainly speaking out of frustration with not having the new album tho, so keep that in mind.

Haha!  beer I'm just saying that, unlikely as it would seem, it wouldnt altogether surprise me. Afterall, hasnt there been a few indications that relations may have mellowed somewhat? And both VR and GnR are friendly with a certain mr stradlin, so he'd make the perfect go between in any negotiations/reconcilliations.

But I DO ABSOLUTELY want an end to the CD saga. preferably with its release, but if it happenned that there was a change in circumstances such as a reformation, which would pretty much rule out the release of CD, i'd settle for that too at this stage.

Whats more, im not one of those who wants axl to keep us informed of every development no matter how small, but then he must know that we all have heard bout certain dates this year, and we assume (yeah, i no thats foolish) that that means the album will be out very soon, yet we have had absolutely nothing official from axl or management, if they have new management, bout the gigs or the album.

This is frustrating to say the least.

Al, I agree, and like your thinking. If 1978 represents your birth year, maybe that's why. At this point I just want something to happen. Although, I like anyone else, has there opinions about what the best scenario that could happen would be. I personally won't state mine, don't need to. I will say that I'll support Axl regardless of the direction he may choose to take the band. As long as he does in fact take the band in a forward direction, and with that I mean releasing the CD.? ?ok

this is not a lie, a promise, a guarantee, a statement of fact, an approximate date, concrete evidence, an insult, a clue, a hope, but I do wish to announce an annoucement of the official release date within the next few months/fall-late fall/this year.

soon is the word, hang in there!

to be serious though, until we hear official news directly from the record company, i don't believe anything said about the release date.

They will release the CD. I don't think that's in doubt. But I can understand everyones frustration at this point.

We're not so far from March 6. I honestly don't think that day is going to come and go without any communication about what's going on.
