Ground control to Major Tom

Thanks, that's great.
I hope that Izzy is involved in some way.  It would be nice to get a second version of Vince Neil's story about Izzy in The Dirt.

This should get moved to the main GNR section.  This may be the closest that they'll get to seeing a release date for anything this year. Wink

For some reason I keep thinking it's Izzy's auto-biography... I guess not.

Either way, it should be a great read.  Cool

Black Market Publishing has formally announced plans for the first ever biography of legendary Guns N Roses rhythm guitar player and lead songwriter Izzy Stradlin! "Dust N' Bones: The Untold Story of Izzy Stradlin", set to be released in the fall of 2004, this biography promises to deliver for fans the full story on one of hard rock's most intriguing and elusive icons, chronicling Izzy's rise with hard rock's most notorious frontman W. Axl Rose from Lafayette, Indiana to the streets of Hollywood in the early 1980s, where the two rose through the Sunset Strip underground via Hollywood Rose toward stardom in what would become the biggest rock band in the world at its peak, Guns N Roses. As Axl Rose's companion and principle songwriting partner for the better half of 2 decades, Izzy Stradlin carved out his niche as one of the most respected rhythm guitar players in hard rock history, writing many of Guns N Roses most famous anthems along the way, becoming a multi-millionaire in the process, and then, disappearing at the peak of Guns N Roses popularity.

Featuring exlusive interviews with many current and former GnR insiders, as well as members of Izzy's solo band, the Ju Ju Hounds, and other relevant sources, Black Market Publishing hopes to offer fans the most revealing portrait ever on one of hard rock's coolest rebels!

News on "Dust N' Bones: The Untold Story of Izzy Stradlin":

June 16, 2004- Black Market Publishing completed our sixth interview for the Izzy Stradlin biography with former Guns N' Roses manager Vicky Hamilton.

June 12, 2004- Black Market Publishing completed our fifth interview for the Izzy Stradlin biography with founding Hollywood Rose Guitarist Chris Weber.

May 29, 2004- Black Market Publishing completed our fourth interview for the Izzy Stradlin biography with Izzy's former live-in girlfriend, Angela Nicoletti-McCoy.

May 24, 2004- Black Market Publishing completed our third interview for the Izzy Stradlin biography with Izzy's former roommate Adam Bomb.

May 17, 2004- Black Maket Publishing completed our second interview for the Izzy Stradlin biography with Izzy's longtime producer Eddie Ashworth, covering all aspects of Izzy in the studio, as a songwriter, producer, etc.

May 10, 2004- Black Market Publishing completed a lengthy interview with former JuJu Hounds/Broken Homes bassist Jimmy Ashurst, one of Izzy's closest friends throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Ashurst co-wrote the hit 'Shuffle It All' with Izzy Stradlin, and recorded and toured as a member of the JuJu Hounds between 1991 and 1996.

I just wonder what kind of role Izzy will have or has had in the creation of this book? Will he contribute at all?

Blackmarket Publishing (www.blackmarketpublishing.com) is planning on releasing a Izzy Stradlin' biography.
Here are a list of people who have already been interviewed:

Former Guns N' Roses manager Vicky Hamilton.

Founding Hollywood Rose Guitarist Chris Weber.

Izzy's former live-in girlfriend, Angela Nicoletti-McCoy.

Izzy's former roommate Adam Bomb.

Izzy's longtime producer Eddie Ashworth, covering all aspects of Izzy in the studio, as a songwriter, producer, etc.

A lengthy interview with former JuJu Hounds/Broken Homes bassist Jimmy Ashurst, one of Izzy's closest friends throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Ashurst co-wrote the hit 'Shuffle It All' with Izzy Stradlin, and recorded and toured as a member of the JuJu Hounds between 1991 and 1996.

I sent them(hardrockbooks@hotmail.com) an e-mail to ask about the release date.

I mentioned that i'm a poster at this board and that if they give me any info about the book or the release date I will post it here for thousands of GNR fans to read each day. I mentioned that this website promotes all material released by GNR and it's former members so this would be a good place to get the word out to GNR fans.

If more people can send e-mails like this I think that we would have a good chance at getting a response.

thanks.

Izzy's former live-in girlfriend, Angela Nicoletti-McCoy.

Oh christ, that woman is the dumbest person on earth. Still, it might be an enjoyable read, I suppose..
