I think you bring up an interesting point, if there is one to be found in this thread.? I've always found the idea of "showing respect" to someone who has died interesting.? Does that apply to everyone?? Because if you don't believe a person deserves your respect while they are alive, how does their death change that?? Does the act of dying deserve respect?? Does death make a person more respectable?? Surely, a rapist or murderer doesn't deserve respect just because they have died.? So what's the line?? When does a person's death make them deserve "respect"?

For that matter, what about the idea that you shouldn't speak badly about the dead?? If you are more than willing to speak badly about the person when they are alive, what difference does their death make??

i'm pretty sure that's not the point. i just read the posts again and didnt think that the first or second time.

however people who like to distract others from a good point will do exactly that. see it on tv all the time when people are talking about politics.

if anyone really cared about A.N. Smith they would be more concerned with why howard k. stern (not the king of all media) was keeping nicole on drugs and keeping her in 'territories' that aren't bound by U.S. laws. like the bahamas and the hard rock hotel and casino in fort lauderdale, FL.

she died at that hard rock hotel which just happens to be on an indian reservation which isn't bound by U.S. laws. in fact, we'll never hear the original 911 call because that native american reservation doesn't have to follow the same rules as all u.s. cities do.
