Once again, there's a difference between a rumor and speculation.

People seem to assume that if he/she comes up with a possible scenario, it's automatically a rumor.

Or if he/she talks to a friend about something like "Wouldn't it be cool if GN'R played at Giants Stadium?", then it becomes a rumor.
