Great to see all these international dates lined up... I really think VR is going to gain some more fans and respect this time around.  I am looking forward to some exciting times ahead...

There is no way Motley Crue should be headlining over VR.

it's because motley crue is a well established band who has sold many millions of albums... Now old true gnr would have been a headliner..

i think its a better choice to have the Crue before VR cause i personally like Motely better

now that i think about it i think that the Crue, Heaven and Hell, OZZY, and VR are the best on the list so far. yes

I suppose being at a festival they're better off playing more familiar songs than at one of their own headling gigs.

Yeah that's the sensible thing to do when you have the chance to show your material to a group of people that wouldn't necessarily listen to it normally.

I think four brand new Libertad songs is more than enough in front of a festival crowd, and I don't consider the GN'R/STP tracks covers so much in the fact the band is made of the guys that actually wrote those songs.

They played 16 songs, 10 of them being originals and like metallex78 said 4 of them were brand new, i think they got their point across enough.

I wish they'd play less covers. Their material is strong enough, they should rid of at least 1 STP song and 1 'other cover'. Their Wish You Were Here is great, but they played it on the CB tour, no need for playing it again.

Yeah that's the sensible thing to do when you have the chance to show your material to a group of people that wouldn't necessarily listen to it normally.

Or, perhaps more sensible, you do both.  It seems youre too determined to be negative to realize thats whats being done.

I would assume you of all people would be more mindful of criticizing a bands setlist.
