What's the Deal????

Okay... so referring to this segment of Axl's open letter...
"With that being said, this is not a promise, a lie or a guarantee, but we do wish to announce a tentative release date of March 6. This is the first time we have done this publicly for this album. Others have made up all the other dates for their own reasons. We would like to assure the fans that everything in our power will be done to meet this date. Once it is finalized and official, you will be notified. If we are delayed for unseen reasons, you also will be notified as soon as possible in regard to a new date, and the album will be released as shortly thereafter as is possible. We thank you for your patience."

Obviously, there is no release date, and March 6th doesn' t appear to be in the picture.  What's going on??? With March 6th out  of the way, I'm sure Axl knows it will be delayed.  Why are we not hearing anything about the new album??

Because at the moment there's no information to give? ?So he's keeping quiet so he can say, "Unfortunately it won't be released on March 6th, but I can tell you it WILL be released on...". ?And then people won't be on his back as much as they would be if all he gave was the bad news with no good news to fall back on. ?That's the way I see it, anyway.

I believe there are some logistical problems and a final release date is not yet set. So they delay the statement, in order not to disappoint us but to give us an accurate release date...

One could only hope....but I doubt it.....I hope I am wrong......I believe in an album release.....but my belief system need a desperate refill...

Fact is, you cant announce anything until its 100% set. when we get it, it will probably be an announcement with video, single, and release date

Well... just be patient for a while.  April's not too far away, it can't be long before some kind of official announcement is made.  Let's hope it isn't made on April 1st, though.  No one would believe it.

I get the feeling that they won't announce a tour without an album release date at this point.
