I missed seeing the original line-up of GN'R when they were here in Australia back in 1993 and I've been kicking myself about it ever since. So I'll definitely go see these guys regeardless of the album being out or not. I'm not sure if everyone else would gladly do the same though, and whether or not they could play a big venue without a new album out remains to be seen...

It's GREAT they are touring other countries, and people that haven't seen them will be able too.  But we all know we want the release date WAY more then more tour dates, so bring it on...talk about the CD this time around AXL!

Yeh, gnr coming to Aus is fkn great.

I can just see them now playing in the big stadium in homebush, sydney (forgot the nam, i think its energy stadium or something)

Anyways, regardless of cd out or not, this is great, and people will see them, probably not sell out though.

I missed em to man. I wanted to go with my cousin to eastern creek but I was only 8 so mum wouldnt let me.
I think it will be a sell out, we in sydney atleast, Guns are becoming very fasionable lately. I see alot of kids with GN'R shirts and alot of cover bands doing Not as well known GN'R songs like Brownstone. So I recon regardless if the album is out or not by the time they get here, it will be huge.
But I dont think they'll do stadium Australia like U2, I dont even think they'll do the superdome. I recon atleast 1 night at the Ent Cent but maybe 2.

touring in spring is ok, for the recording should be done until april (if the record is not completed by now); but as we all know - it's the world of axl rose we are talkin about... everytime from 2001 on, touring (as we thought) brought us closer to the album only to delay the release even more in the end.

because he's more of a hip-hop drummer?

I like Frank a lot better, he was more "into it" in my opinion. Getting the fans to chant GNR between songs and stuff. I just appriciate Frank more.

I think you're confusing drummers. I believe it was Josh Freese who was in GN'R before Brain, wrote the CD riff. Or so I've read anyway.

1. I think the press release was written by Gnr management-"rock and roll machine"-"rave reviews". Just read the language-as usual, a bit over the top. rofl 2. Now, the album release is "imminent"-still playing games. Definitely written by Gnr management. Roll Eyes

I really hoping that we get this from the official source this week and I'm desperate for confirmation that the album is coming BEFORE these tour dates.

It's been time and it has nothing to do with the Grammy's being over ?   Shocked

Here Today...And Back Tommorrow

« Reply #157 on: February 12, 2007, 08:24:37 AM »

ive just got up and im grumpy so please forgive me my trespassses but

1 yes it was josh freese who wrote the CD riff.

2 Brain will not and should not be back.

3 that the grammies are over now has nothing to do with axl pushing to get the album out. the grammies are irelevant to the whole CD situation til its out, then they might win 1 for it. unlikely tho.

4 no1 missed the original line up playing in 1993, as they werent still together then. the phrase "the original lineup" is used far too liberally here!

top o the mornin to ya'll.

I personally don't care if Brain comes back or not either. I mean, I like him but, I've always thought Freese was the better drummer. I'd also like to see some guest appearances by Steven Adler in 2007.? ?Now that would be kick ass !

All I'm sayin is that the Grammy's and all the press surrounding them will be over in a few days. Of course it has nothing to do with the CD saga. However, you don't want to do a big press release while everyone's focus is elsewhere. Roll Eyes Not a big deal...sheesh. You guys argue to argue.
