VELVET REVOLVER Guitarist Jams With SHOOTER JENNINGS In Hollywood - Feb. 10, 2007 
 
According to a posting on his official web site, VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Dave Kushner "jammed some acoustic blues/country/rock jams [Tuesday] night [February 6] at the Hotel Caf? in Hollywood. Me, Shooter Jennings and Leroy (guitar player from Shooter's band) whooped it up at Tom Morello's [RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, AUDIOSLAVE] night," Dave wrote. Tom played first as the NIGHTWATCHMAN and us. There was also a jam at the end with all mentioned above plus Ben Harper and CYPRESS HILL. It was a star-studded event too! CNN was there filming, all kinds of actors and shit, a real live 'who's who.'"

The Norwegian web site of VELVET REVOLVER's record label is now listing June 4 as the international release date for the band's second album, "Libertad", which would make the North American arrival date June 5. The site previously listed a mid-May release date for the disc. The label has not yet announced any official release date for "Libertad".

VELVET REVOLVER has been recording "Libertad" since the beginning of 2007 in a Los Angeles studio.

The members of the band have been chosen by clothing designer John Varvatos for his spring 2007 ad campaign. A selection of photos taken at various Los Angeles locations can be seen now at JohnVarvatos.com.

The group is tentatively scheduled to visit South America in April with AEROSMITH, followed by a U.S. theater tour in May.
