Here Today...And Back Tommorrow

« Reply #220 on: February 09, 2007, 11:41:45 AM »

This thread is useless. You have a clown who claims he spoke? ?to Axl. If by the chance he even got in, which I highly doubt, he might have met with Axl. But even if he did there is no way Axl told him half that stuff. It was at most a quick hello, thanks for the support, hang in there, its coming type thing. Nothing more than that. Its getting annoying reading all these sites that are trying to get as much attention and publicity as possible.

Another funny? thing that i read was that someone broke the news to newgnr.com saying that gnr would be playing at the even. I guess Versace herself breaking the news wasnt exclusive enough

I think everyone needs to get a grip...including Axl

Half what stuff? If you recall, he didnt tell us what he was told, to be fair to the guy. lets keep things factual eh?

or buy them.

I could have a look into that... But all I see is the register button.

This thread is unbelievable how inconsiderate some people are, or should I say obsessed! ? ?
I am waiting for the post from someone to say, ?it's because ?anna nicole died we don't have any coverage of this event in the news about our leader gnr... ? ? ?

it's pathetic.... ?look at the positives.... quit bickering about not having any info... they performed, they are happy and they are not hiding like years past... all good signs!!

I never wanted you to be so full of anger. . . .

« Reply #223 on: February 09, 2007, 11:50:10 AM »

A few quick points:

1. I'm glad to see that GN'R are out there doing stuff - regardless of what it is they are doing.

2. The pics that were sent look pretty cool - I wish I could have been there.

3. I've never been a big fan of somebody posting to a thread saying - I was told this, but can't tell you what it is.  Really - what's the point of that.  I do respect the fact that he doesn't want to let us know in respect for Axl, but he should have not dangled the carrot.  I personally could care less what Axl told the guy, I don't even want to know - but I think what he did is flat out wrong.  It's another case of "I know something that you don't".  Petty stuff!  Enjoy the music or just move on - lets not make it more than it really is.

Anyway - Keep Rockin'

I think Versace's sister on Jimmy Kimmel was great. She had a good sense of humor and I think if she werent a nice person Guns wouldn't have played at the event. Nice to see too that Guns are versatile enough to do scaled-down stuff for these types of events. Not many metal bands can pull that off.  ok

GUNS N' ROSES played a two-song set at the Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style ceremony, which was held Thursday night (February Cool in Beverly Hills, California. The band, which used a stand-in bass player (Tommy Stinson was apparently unable to make the gig) for the performance, blazed through "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and "Sweet Child O' Mine" to close the event, which honored Gianni and Donatella Versace. The news of GN'R's performance was broken Tuesday (February 6) during Donatella Versace's appearance on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" program where she called GN'R frontman Axl Rose a "very elegant person" who loves fashion. Axl reportedly stayed after the band's set until the party ended shortly after midnight. Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach was one of Rose's guests for the evening. Check out pictures from Film Magic.

Donatella Versace was the first designer to accept the Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style award off the famed shopping boulevard. The Rodeo Drive Walk of Style honoring Gianni and Donatella Versace was held three blocks away on the steps of Beverly Hills City Hall at 455 Rexford Drive. The exclusive dinner and concert for 400 was hosted by Rupert Everett and boasted an illustrious guest list, including Elton John, who also played a short set.

Here are some pics from the event. Not sure if they have already been posted. Enjoy

That link has been posted at least 3 times now. Smiley

Can someone get them in a larger size? I tried to register, but a friend told me it's only for the press. Cry

I remember a while back there were pics from some GNR gig there (escapes me which one at this time), and those exact pics never got bought for us to see  Grin

Filmagic has a ton a great photos from Inland Invasion. I remember someone saying that they were going to get the large versions of those, but we never saw them. Just search "Guns N' Roses" on the site and you'll see them.

Tommy didn't leave the band.  He had a very personal, family reason for not going.  As much as Tommy can be a firebrand, he's clearly got a big heart and cares very much for his family.

Relax, he's still in the band.  Lucky thing for GnR, Mother Goose is a multi-instrumentalist who can fill in for everyone...

Except maybe Bumblefoot.
