back on top of the world

While we wait....the only write-up I can find on the event so far is one that talks about Kurt Cobain's daughter's appearance.? Nothing about GNR, but some photo's of celebs that attended.

http://www.hellomagazine.com/fashion/2007/02/09/rodeo-style-cobain/

ive read about 5 stories including that one...not a single gnr or axl mention Undecided kinda sad imo no

That is probably because the event was not about AXL or GNR. ?I'm sure there will be a story coming soon... they are just getting up out there in LA... give it some more time..... things will surface... ? "patience"

i hope you're right...really i dont give a crap about the awards. all i really want to know is what they played...even then its not a big deal really...its cool they played there but if there is no media attention then that really sucks..that was what i was hoping for most from the gig Sad

I could care less about the award too.... would be nice to see a pic or two of axl walking and posing for pics as he enters but I doubt it.. ? ?I haven't seen any of those yet... I am sure something will surface once an interview or two is done for the "entertainment channels" ? ? ?I just hope there is mention of the performance and possibly some "news" we've been waiting for

Wow this topic got wayyyy off subject. ? On an unrelated note ?Roll Eyes , I cant believe in this day and age that all we have from this event is a few pics.

It's all we got for the Parkinson's benefit.

I really don't get why everyone got all excited about this.  It wasn't a GNR show per sae...it was a few songs played at a celebrity party.  It's great that most of the band got together and had a good time, but it was not ment to be a springboard IMO.

Does the walker choose the path?

I can not believe that such a positive event such as this has about 16-17 pages of primarily bitching and whining about petty stuff. Some of you lot are unbelievable. This is a great thing that has happened and there is just whinging and shit about whether some dude met Axl. Maybe he did maybe he didnt, who gives a fuck? The fact is the band have a played a few songs in front of some of the main a-list celebs in the world and the album is coming out soon so this is pretty good exposure!! Come on people think positive and stop whining! Mike

I don't know if my word means anything over here, but if you know me from MYGNR...I can confirm that MGL/HRS wouldn't lie about this. We've talked in the past and he basically [for lack of a better phrase] worships Axl and would not make up something like this. It's your call though, if you think it's bullshit, then use your illusions and let them take you away.

Who was on drums?

Nobody, I think...

You don't really need drums when you're playing an acoustic gig. ok

I can. There's this pervasive mentality among online GN'R fans that everyone else is just like them; that if they went to a gig or met Bumblefoot (or, hell, even Axl), they'd instantly run home and post everything they'd heard on HTTGTH. Remember: Not everyone is as mad as us.

Make up a fake agency. Or use Black Frog. And say Axl told me to get the pictures. Cheesy
