Sometimes I feel like I've been beatin' a dead horse...

Honestly, no offense, as you're new here - but please have a look around first. Topics like these have been discussed ad nauseum - and belong in the Dead Horse section.

No big deal. The rules do say to check the Dead Horse section first before posting though.

No-one is crucifying you, we've just seen topics like that way too often!  ok

I like them all, to be honest.

Yes, even Silkworms.

Those super-funky techno beats get me everytime!  Grin

The Blues, although the new version of Chinese Democracy is extremely excellent.

I'd still like to hear a new version of CD, because they didn't play it at my show and as of right now, it's actually my least favorite of the new songs.

There are no tuesdays left in 2006 and/or 2007!!!

CITR is by far the best, and has most potential.

TWAT and OMG come in next.

I would have been pleased if '99 cd came out.

CITR, TWAT, Madagascar, CD, OMG, Blues are solid.
that's 6 good/great songs right there.

Yeah, I agree. I know some fans are probably happier they avoided the bullet of the '99 album. But as a fan of where they were going with "Oh My God" and that style of music in general, I really appreciated it. Those leaks are fantastic.

well it depends...
how many of it has been scraped.
I joined the GNRmaina just because I heard they were doing an industrial album...
and the "led zeppelin remixed by trent reznor" quotes.

but there have been rumours that the industrial has all together been abandoned.
I would have enjoyed to hear more OMGish songs, or a OMG remake.

the songs we have heard so far are worth the 4-5 year wait (up to 99-01), but 10 years is a little to much.

I think by dropping a lot of the more overt industrial flourishes, they've helped to make the songs more timeless. I think the album as it stands is probably a lot like Queen in scope, a lot less like NIN in sound. But that's OK. "Oh My God" exists for that and it's for that reason I hope it isn't on CD when it comes out.
