WARose is not dissing America.
All he's saying is the comment is disgraceful to other Americans and the poster should speak for himself.

I've heard some people
Say this is just a "cash-grab"
Like that's a bad thing.

What's the problem there?
We do business TO GRAB CASH!
Why is that term bad???  Huh

People earn money by the sweat of their brows which is a labour of love for some and a tedious task only for money for others. I bet it's former for gnr members.

Quote
ts simple mathematics....gnr needs cash...thousands of people in the third world are willing to give it to them.

Let put it this way. Millions of people outside of the US and Europe want to see their live performance. GNR wants many people to experience their gig. Music is impartially for everyone with ears.
The demands meet.

glad news, booker t, that your wish is about to be granted.

I dont think GNR will announce tourdates officially, until after the official release date is announced. I expect that announce to happen in a week, and no more than 2 weeks. So we'll have to wait until then, until then these are just rumors.  Smiley

I'm very happy for the fans in S.A! Hopefully they'll play in other places they've been to before this year as well, like South Korea, Russia, Romania, etc.

In my mind it can only mean the album will be out before late april. I can't imagine the band touring again without an album.

this has to be the shittest venue in town.
why in the world did they choose this place?
Can you explain your post? Have you been there? This is a festival sponsered by Coke. Really not understanding your shitty comment.

yup, been there, its nothing special, i'm sure the band will not notice the difference, its not in the nicest part of town as far as audience is concerned, its about 50 km from jhb, facilities are ok, but not as good as for example the venue where last years' festival was held.

from a fan's point of view, it's a mission to go there.
coke took it as the previous venue was in pretoria, and all the jhb people complained about that.

can't please everybody i suppose.

Agree. If they canceled the January gigs for finishing the album, why would they have more gigs now, in April/May if is not with a good perception of when they will release it?  Wink

My guess is  he is not thinking before he types, or him like most in here think they know what is best for GNR. Which they do not. My guess is most in here are in panic mode.

If they are playing anywhere in the world that is great news, I give 2 shits where when or for who. GNR active is a great thing. PERIOD peace

Africa and Brazil.... Im an American and it may sound bad to say but we dont care about Africa or Brazil (even though I speak portugese) ?If you want to be big in America you release an album, release a single, release a video and go on a world tour. ?Thats what bands do. ?GNR has to try to be big becasue in order for them to break even on this album they must sell millions of copies. ?I am not saying going to these places would never be a good thing, but a band is not going to agree to a festival a month after their album is supposed to be released if they are the calibur of GNR. ?What manager would do that? ?THey lock themselves into a gig 1,000's of miles away so that they cant set a north american tour or even a european tour. ?They also cant decide to work on a video or make any public appearances during that time. ?If the album was coming out March 6 then timing would be everything. ? No smart manager is going to commit to a concert without knowing how the album will be recieved. ?

You can disagree all you want, but I guarantee if this is true the album will not be released in march or april. ?You can save this post and throw it in my face after, but I guarantee the album will not be released before this event if GNR is scheduled to play at it.

For you to post something like americans does not care about Africa it is outrage and, who cares that you speak portuguese? You don't care about Africa but please don't say americans don't care abut Africa. Why do you think you know everything? For God's sake, stop posting things that you don't know anything about it. Who are you to give any advice to GNR?

He's a fan. He has a right to express his own views on this subject. Does he not?

Good they are on the road again. Cool to see them in Africa and I hope we have an album or a solid release date around that time.

One's opinion is
As good as their data is.
Unresearched views are

Worth as much as crap.
2 + 2 ain't opinion.
No research? WORTHLESS.

Don't mean to be harsh
But I'm fed up with people
Thinking opinions

Without true basis
In tested facts and figures
Hold ANY water.
