Back on topic, I dont believe it. If Axl knew the album had been put back to june, then he woulda told us 1st as per his statement.

You can file my opinion under 'doesn't believe Madagascar will be the first single/video'.

Other than the track Chinese Democracy, Madagascar is my least favorite out of all the 'new' songs that have been leaked/played live (not counting Silkworms or OMG). By no means am I saying 'it sucks' or anything, it certainly doesn't, I'm thinking I'm just missing something since I've heard it the least compared to the rest of the tracks (and when I hear it live its played during the encore when its pushing 2 am!)...also The Blues took a while to grow on me, so maybe Madagascar will sooner or later as well.

But yeah, its too dark to be the first single. I'm sure PitMan(n)iac's would be thrilled that their boy got a two minute solo in the first single though 

I'm guessing if they put out a ballad, it'll be the 2nd or 3rd single, and would most likely be 'The Blues'...first single will either be 'Better' or some hard-rock oriented track that we haven't heard yet.

Also, lotsa bands film more than one video before albums are released these days...seems to be a growing trend the last 5 years or so.

I love Madagascar, but this is the last track I'd pick to be a first single - It's a wonderful song, but like TWAT, you don't reintroduce yourself to the masses with a track like that. Maybe as a 2nd or 3rd single.
