They should call it the "Appetite For Destruction World Tour"

And play mostly new songs.

That's pretty damn funny....

Hahaha... that would be funny as hell.

And maybe stop about 3/4 through each show and be like "What? You were expecting something else?"

Just thought we could do something like this while we wait for the announcement.  Tongue

So what do you guys think about the setlist after Chinese Democracy is released?

I think it will change ALOT. I think they will start off maybe playing half of the record, and then over time add more new songs in there. They will probably play about 8 old songs a night, compared to the usual 13 or 14 or whatever they did in '06. They will probably alternate with the old songs they played in '06 every night.

What do you guys think?

i think it will always be about majority public oppinion, which doesn't include most people here. i would expect 3 or 4 new songs in the beginning and more added as they 'hit' on the radio. majority public oppinion is all about catchy songs. that takes time so i wouldn't expect more than 3 or 4 new album songs in the beginning of the tour even if the album is already out. i recall seeing U2 about a month after a new album and they only played a couple of songs off that new album. but of course played Streets no name, with or without, real thing, mysterious ways, ect. etc. etc.

the setlist always opens with WTTJ , its so easy , mr brownstone , live nd let die.   At least shift it around a bit or open with nightrain like in the illusion tours.  i think though that they will have to keep the opening few songs oldies to warm up the crowd a bit

Theyre more likely to drop UYI songs as opposed to AFD songs, it stands to reason for album sales sake. Plus, having said that, Ive always felt Axl wanted to get at least a year of touring under his belt before CD was released (allowing everyone a last chance - or for younger fans - a first chance to see the old songs live)
