Ive tried to post this before but for some reason it always gets deleted, but I think GNR should play Colbert's show.  Colbert loves rock music, makes it fun, promotes it and has the viewers that would fall in the demographic GNR needs for the CD to be financially successful.  I mean just look what Colbert did with Frampton, Decembrists etc... He's hilarious, the biggest thing on cable tv right now and it would be perfect for GNR to go on that show.  It especially would be funny if they made a statement to the news about Colbert, because he loves to play around with things like that.

That he's the biggest thing on cable right now is genuinely terrifying. I think he's stupifyingly unfunny and untalented and I hope to god GN'R stay as far away from the Daily Show Lite as possible.

Its a better show that the Daily Show its ratings and exposure keep increasing and you cannot deny the success band who have appeared on his show have had, or authors either.  Just look at the hits and sales of the Decembrists on their appearance or what happened with Ok Go.  Or even the raise in Frampton sales when he went on the show. It is the fastest growing audience in Cable and its base demographic consists mostly of 18-30 year old males, hence why advertisements during the COlbert show sell more than any other cable show on television.  Your own personal preference aside, it appeals to the target audience, is considered widely to be newer and funnier than any other talk show/comedy show, and has had great success in promoting bands.  Colbert has been embraced by the mainstream (reviews, pop culture, white house etc...) and yet still remains a favorite of "edgy" college kids.  It would be the perfect forum.

SNL sucks why would they want to. much better to do leno or letterman. play live on stern or opie and anthony.

Opie and Anthony?? What a great choice  Roll Eyes

Dont preform on SNL where youd be seen by millions... Instead go on O&A where you'd be heard by about 10....

I think Leno or Letterman are the only reasonable choices anymore.  Maybe SNL.

Ozzy and VR have done Leno before, usually he doesn't have huge bands, but ocasionally he does.

wowwwwwwwwww  Shocked I didn't know such an opinion existed anywhere in the world. For me, that band has perfect timing cause I didn't get hardcore into them until 6 months ago.

Maybe Mr. Rose and his Guns will play the MTV Movie Awards or something, that's about the only awards show I can think of that takes place between the Grammy's and the VMA's.

Guns SHOULD perform right after the police and blow their asses out of the water.  Then at the end of "Better" Axl can announce that 3/6/07 is the release date!!!!! Haha, in my dreams anyways.

If CD was coming out on March 6th yes. But its obviously not and they arent going to perform. I imagine we dont hear an official release till March 6th. Its too late now for a late March release date. Were talking April at the earliest if they do a normal promotion.

At least on SNL they'd have more of a showcase...playing 2-3 songs rather than the 1 on Letterman or Leno.  Personally, I don't see TV as GnR's thing, other than major music award shows...

Letterman is way more respected than Leno.

I'd like to see GNR play New York and do both Letterman and SNL while they're in town.

More respected by who? Certainly not viewers, Leno runs away 100% of the time.. Not bad mouthing Dave or anything, just sayin...

But tha'd be a great idea to do both shows  ok

I think a surprise performance in broad daylight would be much more effective than appearing on a late night comedy show.. Undecided

The Grammy's would never ask GNR to come, they get bands who are popular not who were popular.  For most people it would be horrible, sure we'd like it, but the Grammy's appeal to people who listened to Milli Vanilli, GnR right now to them, would be like a Manuto surprise performance to us.  Sorry guys some of you need to wake up and realize its not 1992 anymore and the majority of the world does nto care about GNR.

A "Where The Streets Have No Name" approach? Yeah, that'd be pretty cool.
