It would be great to see GN'R performing BUT, I don't know how the audience would react to a GN'R new song, especially at the Grammys (as most of the people still don't know what's going on with the new Guns). Secondly, I don't think Axl would agree doing this because all of the attention will be on the Police reunion.

P.S. Cross finers for So Lonely also here...

coen brothers' 1991 masterpiece 'barton fink'

« Reply #42 on: January 30, 2007, 10:26:09 AM »

what do you guys think? I think it would be great to perform 'better' live since (hopefully) it will be a single out by then.
just thinking...

peace out.

It's Finck, not Fink, brah.

You get my vote for worst screenname ever. No offense, just my opinion.

And of course they should play the Grammy's. Unfortunately, or fortunately for me in this case, The Police are gonna show up and kick ass that night. I'm excited for that. Axl would be wise to seek attention elsewhere - he could perform the album in its entirety and kiss babies, The Police reunion would still upstage him.

thanks, BRAH (or is it bro?) perhaps if you could have read more you would have noticed the caption under my photo... oh well maybe next time (hint hint its a movie AND a play on a current GNR member). BTW 'SterileEyes' i think thats a MUCH worse name.

peace out

Well, if The Police is going to open the show, then Guns will finish it with their new single Better.

Then Axl gets arrested by Police for biting Sting on the ankle.

I believe that the only ones that are allowed to perform at the Grammys is the winners or those who are nominated.

No, they shouldn't do anything anymore until the album is released!  It's already been a joke to the average person, It's now becoming a joke for even us die hards.  Perfectionism has taken a toll on Axl and GNR.

I was just wondering is GNR ever played SNL? If so, does anyone know what song they played and how I can see a video of the performance?

Do you guys thinks that the current version of GNR will play SNL when CD comes out? What song would they play?

I would love to hear them do The Blues on SNL. That is my favorite of the new songs.

Anyways, I look forward to your replies.

To answer your question; no they haven't ever played SNL.

To answer the question of whether or not GNR would ever play SNL, I dunno. It's been debated on here a million times. I don't think it would ever happen, but I'd love to see it.

U2 played SNL around 2002. I only watched it to see them. SNL hasn't been any good since the late 80s/early 90s. That said, I'd rather GN'R did not perform on that show.

SNL does suck these days but they still get good musical acts from time to time.  In the last year or two they've had Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and System of a Down to name a few.
