After giving this some thought for a couple of days, I think this would be a great move for GNR. Especially here in the US, it could really bring in alot of younger fans to appreciate this band for what it is.

Arnt they a Christian Rock band...... so called God rock, or the Cliff Richard of Rock?
Not sure that mixes well with GNR, Axl does have a crucifix round his neck most of the time though

I don't think "Christian Rock" means anything at all, outside the US, does it? I never realized it in any case... Wikipedia mentions an Amy Lee quote explaining they "are so over that", and that she "thinks it's lame" and all, that is was exagerated. There's actually an section in the entry titled "Christian controversy"
Anyway, I like them quite a lot. It just starts getting a little bit repetetive after a little while.

Evanescence will play the River Plate Stadium here in Argentina in support of Velvet Revolver and Aerosmith as a part of the Quilmes Rock Festival.

I know it because I already have a ticket for that show, you guys can check it for yourself at Ticketek's website for Argentina.

Are some of you really being serious?  like genuinely serious?  You honestly think that Papa Roach is bigger then GNR right now? HAHAHAHAHAH  They had ONE song and it was a minor hit in terms of anything GNR has ever had in terms of a single.  They are nothing while GNR is one of the all time best rock bands.  And Evanescence?  Bigger then GNR right now???  This is a joke right?  They are one album wonders.  There are no big rock bands anymore - rock, for all intensive purposes is dead.  When Nickelback is the biggest rock band out there, you know something is wrong.

Well, I wouldn't go as far as that. I was just thinking it would be intresting to hear a duet by them because they both have high pitched voices. Imagine them do a new cover of "Sweet Child" or even maybe "Roquet Queen" if Amy should dare sthg like that..
