Chili Peppers do rock. I think I might actually support an alternating, co-headlining sort of thing. Aerosmith did it with KISS. One night, one band will close the show, and the next night the other. It would do well to mix up that crowd. That's a band that makes sense with GN'R. beer

I say GNR would open, Chili Peppers put on a slightly better live show- plus they're more popular right now (due to the fact they actually got an album out- and singles/music videos, etc)

^ actualy- switching back and forth sounds fairer.

See I do agree the Chili Peppers have the edge in popularity, but the switching back and forth would be a really cool move and humble on the part of both bands. Both bands are very cool groups of guys and I think that would be a very fun tour. I'd love to see something like that.

I heard they were atrocious live?

I'd never pay to see a concert where a lesser band was headlining.. GN'R should be #1.. Unless they're with a band of higher stature, like Aerosmith, The Stones etc.

Funny, I heard that too.

Also, I agree with your second point.

And GNR wouldnt do that switch places thing, thats SO lame. I would HATE seeing GNR before another band. Totally fucked!

Evanescence sucks...the band name sucks..the lead singer sucks, everything about them sucks.  Have u ever listened to this girl in an interview...fuckin stupid.  This would be TERRIBLE, if this happened.  Oh well though, GN'R should only be closing if they have an album out if not they should OPEN.  I don't care how big they are...if they wanna close a big show with a bunch of acts THEN RELEASE NEW MATERIAL.

The last time is saw the Chili Peppers was on the Californication tour with the Stone Temple Pilots as the opening band.

The Chili Peppers blew STP away in every possible way, but overall the show is behind Guns N' Roses ( all 7 times) and Prince for me.. ok

Nah, I seen both bands live- and the Chili Peppers had alot more chemistry- and the overall show was better.

I can't picture GNR opening either. They should just get Buckcherry. They were made to tour together.

There isn't a band on this planet who couldn't open for the Stones. They're the top of the food chain. Period. I actually hope GNR does get the chance to open for them again.

And I'd actually like GNR and Evenescence. And yes, GNR would headline. Evenescence isn't as big as some people here seem to think. Yes, the debut album sold tons, but do they even have enough material to put on the 2+ hour show GNR does? Doubtful, without playing every song they have.

A friend who saw STP with Chilis said RHCP sounded horrible and STP blew them away live. But to each their own.
