Shut Up And Be A Victim Of Authority

whoever thinks velvet revolver was the real gnr should not even be allowed into a gnr concert, let alone share the stage with them.

No. Gnr aren't popular enough. Evanescene fans would walk out when the old red braided out of breath guy gets on stage.

Sad, but true.

Just for note, I'm not sure if Amy Lee is much of a GNR/Axl fan. I remember her doing an interview(s) and she said the "Velvet Revolver was the real GNR". But so did Kid Rock and I saw him sing Nightrain with Axl. Who knows...
I thought she said that Contraband was 'boring' or something like that?

That's just a terrible thing to say. First, it's not true. Evanescence are not as popular as GN'R either then or now. I'll debate anyone on that, I think it's bullshit. Second, I'm very sorry to see Axl gets so little love any more from some of his fans. It'll be a cold day in hell when I refer to him, even when speaking from someone else's point as view, as "the old red braided out of breath guy."

I guess I don't understand what "popular" is. ?Evanescence played in Minneapolis around the same time than GNR hit Minneapolis in 06'. Evanescense played a venue right next to the GNR's venue, right across the street. Evanescense sold out their show, GNR did not. ?Who's more popular? ?

FYI, Evanescense played their sold out show at 1st Ave in support of a brand new album, right across the street from the Target Center. 1st Ave's capacity is about 2-3 thousand people.

Meanwhile, GNR, with no slash, duff, no new material in 15 years, no new radio play, played to over 9000 people, right across the street of the venue that the more popular Evanescence performed.

If Evanescence is more popular than GNR, wouldn't they be able to put more butts in the seats? ?

Tool on the other hand, puts more butts in the seats.

It hasn't been stated by enough people here, so I'll go ahead. Evanescence is fucking 100% shit. They suck. Hard. It's not opinion, it's fact. People who want them to play with GN'R even remotely can shove it up their ass. Evanescence belongs on pop radio where fat ugly bitches who relate to the poseur Amy Lee can cut their arms and cry to her great lyrics. Don't forget, it was only one album ago they debuted with a rap-rock song. Fuck Evanescence.

I'm sure that's how a young popular music fan would think if they encountered Axl.

And I'm sure Evanescene could outsell GnR, when you talk concerts.
Lots of acts can outsell GnR: Black Eyed Peas, Justin Timberlake, anyone who has anything on the charts.

Evanescene's "The Open Door" CD would not stand a chance against "Chinese Democracy" though.

I don't even like Evanescene, I'm just smart enough to admit that they are currently more popular than the new line-up of GNR.

Most people don't even know GNR exist anymore.

PS You have to get over your hatred to mainstream music.

Evanescence is a popular band right now. But I think their fans would only walk out if GNR took forever to get on stage, not because they're GNR.

It's not going to happen anyway. It wouldn't be a good match at all. You'll see another GNR/Metallica tour before you see that.

Amy is pretty pretentious anyway. Her music isn't as good as she thinks.

Evanescence does not sell more concert tickets, not even close. Everyone else you mentioned, yes, more popular than GNR right now. ?

Any hope I had of KoRn reverting back to anything even remotely interesting with their unplugged set was ruined when they picked "Freak On a Leash" featuring fat ass Amy as the single. She tries to outsing Jon Davis and crashes hard, but overall ruins the song anyway. A lost opportunity and a bad choice.

If GNR release something, that would really help.

They should open for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
