Exactly. I showed my Dad this. And we got to talking, and since this thing lived 4,200 feet under water {as said in another article about this} what else is out there that we don't know about. Made me wonder, about the Loch Ness monster, and other shit. I also wonder what lies down even deeper then 4,200 feet. I'm talking about 10,000 feet. Who knows what the fuck is down there, and what's been sittin' there for centuries n' shit.

Is anyone else concerned that the Japanese keep finding these "rare" creatures, dragging them onto boats, and then they croak? First the Giant Squid, now this shark...if a Japanese research vessel shows up in Loch Ness...Swim, Nessie, Swim!

There was a great novel about that kind of stories, and what secrets the sea can still hold ... I think it was called
Megalodon
, and it was about prehistoric species that are hidden, trapped in the streams of the abysses. They couldn't reach the surface because pressure would kill them.
Anyway, it was very well documented.
Thankx a lot for this article

I don't think it's a conspiracy...it's just a shame that they keep finding these things that die within hours of being found.

check out the Bill Murray film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Its great and along these lines exactly. Same sort of black comedy as Royal Tenebaums and a great cast as well.
There's some video here:

These are the first photos taken of a live giant squid.
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/09/photogalleries/giant_squid/index.html
But this isn't the one I was talking about being caught alive.
************************************************
This one was caught alive a few weeks ago, and it then died, which is a shame.

underwater creatures are possibly the most interesting creatures on earth, it's a whole world down there we don't know about, an amazing world of creatures that surpass even our wildest imaginations. i wish people would take more interest in it, but what can you expect when 95% of people are idiots.

Well, it's almost certain the Loch Ness Monster ISN'T there. They've done sonor all thru the Loch to look for it and........empty.
I'd love nothing more than for it to be real, but right now, looks like it isn't. Which isn't to say they've found all kinds of things that weren't supposed to be in the water, because every year a few more pop up.
