I think most people here would know enough to call it bullshit even if that did happen to be the case. WBCN will not get the album before anyone else would. Most radio stations will get it at the same time. That's how it works for the most part in radio. Do some stations get exclusives before others? Absolutely. I highly doubt that will be the case with Democracy though.

True, but WBCN is a pretty legendary radio station. I could be wrong but WBCN was one of the first stations in the US to really push GnR. They have massive amounts of respect and are generally regarded as a pretty influential station, so it wouldn't be totally out of the question that they could be one of the first stations to get an advance of the album. Boston is a pretty big market as far as music goes, definitely up there with NY or Chicago or LA.

I think it would need to be looked in to to find out which version of IRS was played. If it was the demo (which they can be in deep shit for playing), or if it was an album version.

i live in boston and while i don't know the exact dj that made these claims, i am familiar with the type of dj's on bcn, howard stern wannabe's, guys who are trying so hard to be cool that they feel like they have to say everything sucks or they're afraid they won't be cool.

People will still go out and buy the album.  Negative press is better then no press.

Why do you guys listen to the radio? It's for 12-year old girls. Simple.

You will not hear about CD on the radio before it's on this board or the official GN'R site. Fact.

It's too bad that most jocks don't realize that people tune in for the music and not their opinions.  So many of them are so bad, that the decent ones don't get credit for playing a good mix.
