Agreed on Middletown, NY... Axl had such intensity (I love "sha-na-na-na-na-mother fucking- mother fucking knees" at the end.  Classic.

Rockstop or whatever it was called?

Yeah, that's the one. I remember the interviewer was kind of out of it at times, like:
"Interviewer: So your solo album is kind of like Phil Collins? Duff: Yeah...um...well, no, it's actually nothing like Phil Collins [laughs]."

I think she once started interviewing Bryan Adams and right away called him by a totally different name: "No, my name's Bryan Adams..." "Oh god, sorry!" hihi

I assumed the live footage was from one of the Helsinki shows.......

Phew, if it was, they must've been two helluva gigs! Smiley Here's to hoping some of the old pro-shot concerts get released one day...

argentina 1993

I agree if you're talking about the first night, the 16th, not 17th.

Shame that the worst concert of the two was the one professionally filmed. 16th was ten times better than 17th.

The opening to most '06 shows must have been electric. Glasgow show was electric. Being in pitch black with with slow intro playing then out of no-one was Axl (do you know where the fuck you arrrrrrrrrrrrrrre?!!). Unreal, place went apeshit.

Was good in Dublin but didnt work as well cos it was in daylight.

But middletown is the best I've ever seen , its exactly what GNR embodied

A couple of dudes who want nothing more then to play loud rock n roll around the world.

Rock In Rio II, first night. By far.

The ''you're gonna die'' scream at Rock In Rio III is the most outstanding moment in GNR live history.

You're 100% Right!

That scream changed my life ... it's when i started being a huge gn'r fan ...

I'd have to say Rock am Ring 2006.  Axl's voice and scream in the beginning is unbelievable.

2002 VMAs

Arghh every time I think I can put that performance out of my memory for good someone brings it back, aha.

The 2006 version of Jungle is amazing to me though.  The intro is amazing and the crowd energy is great when you see it done live.
Indeed the 2006 version is just fuckin' amazing  Shocked
No better drug than that opening scream.  Cool

The 1993 versions of Jungle, as a whole, are and always will be better than Jungle in any other year. Axl's voice and singing ability were at their peak as well as the bands ability to play it lights out. There are amazing highlights in all the other years but Jungle in 1993 was money. And I was a teenager through those years so I am not talking out of my ass here. The 2006 versions are much better than almost every single version from 1988 by the way.
