when does the official promotion start?

Is GNR still involved with MLB?  Didn't they have something set up with them during the 06 tour and ticket purchasing?

Well, March is the kickoff for baseball spring training.  Just wondering if that will play a part in promotion.

At 2.7 million dollars for a 30 second spot, I think we can all agree there is absolutely no chance of that happening given all the other money that has already been spent on this project.

G'n'R might not be able to aford that but what i was mostly refering to was the Harly Davidson commercial. Any one heard any more on that?

That commercial is done, they might use BETTER for a different commericial spot??  I think Harley still has something going with them though...

I'd guess  that when albums is done, as in in a state where Axl himself doesn't pour any more work on it and has passed the album to record label,  we will know about it almost instantly.
Then, and only then the record label can start promoting it; I'm sure the label has learned to believe only what they see by now, and ignore shady promises (THIS will be the year of CD! Honest!)coming from GNR camp. They can't start a  massive ad campaign saying "CD out this march!!" just because Axl said it would come out in March can they?
From the moment the label actually starts sitting on the album, I'd  give it good 7-10 weeks (single, the promotion)and you are close to release date.

I will be very suprised if we will see CD this year The 2007 CD release  seems very unlikely.
