Still nothing here at work.

I find it funny that the admins are defending Gunsguy over at mygnr when its obvious that he was full of shit the whole time.
he said something around january 14-16, right? Now lets count 2 weeks... 2 weeks mean 14 days. 16 + 14 = 30. He said about 2 weeks, the week is starting now. So what's wrong? We still have this week before flaming him ok

His deadline for something to happen expired this past Friday, I believe.

people dont seem to understand the importance of promotion. if this album is not promoted appropriately then it will be the end of gnr or new gnr at least. i am certain that the label will promote this album properly and in the traditional way similar to any other major release - a single 1 month prior to album release, video, tv and radio ads, magazines.... if album leaks then album will get released in less then a month.
there is not going to be any different that any other major release, and to people who thing that guns do things differently meaning not the traditional way(regarding the album release) they are wrong, is up to the label. it's not 1993 anymore when guns had power over the label. that power is long gone specially when label has invested $13 million in the making of this album.
if we dont hear anything by the end of january then forget the march release.
my personal opinion is that it's to quite in gnr world at the moment which means more delays for the album. remember this folks no news is not good news regarding the CD release, no news=label doesnt have the album.

axl rose still has a lot of power at universal.....  the $13 million investment is one of the reasons....

HAHA ... good point. Reminds me of an old saying about owing the bank money, I'll adapt it :

If you owe the record company $1 Million dollars from the making of an album, you have a problem.
If you owe the record company $13 Million dollars from the making of an album, the record company has a problem.

Shouldn't We expect a single around The beginning of february. Every band puts out a single a month or more, b4 their CD comes out. I don't think it will be a good thing if we don't see a Single hit By february.
Well, it's not "A Month prior to the record"...could be more, could be less. The Good, the Bad and the Queen released their first album single kinda 3 months before the album release and then they released their second single a week before the album came out...
