A MUM returned home to find a drunk stranger hiding under her bed wearing a thong and make-up.

Eighteen-stone David Allison terrified the woman and her nine-year-old girl but he said he was imitating a stunt from cult TV show Jackass.

A court heard how he rifled through the woman's clothes and underwear drawers before selecting a skimpy black G-string.

He stripped off, squeezing his bulk into the thong and hid under the bed until the woman arrived home with her daughter.

Allison, 18, who lives near his victim in Brechin, Angus, had downed 16 pints and said he entered the house "for a laugh".

The 41-year-old victim, who was not named, later told how her pet dog had gone straight to her bedroom and started sniffing about when they returned home.

She said: "When I checked my room out, I saw a massive pair of hairy legs sticking out from under the bed."

The mum, whose partner died last year, said Allison begged her not to call the police and offered her ?500 to hang up.

At Forfar Sheriff Court, Allison admitted scaring the woman and her daughter and breach of the peace. His not guilty pleas of breaking and entering and theft were accepted.

Arthur Wheelan, prosecuting, said the thong still exposed Allison's private parts and he'd moved as if to hug the mum.

He said: "Allison indicated he had gone into the house for a laugh and had been egged on by others."

Bob Bruce, defending, said his client had been attempting to imitate a stunt he had seen on MTV's Jackass show.

He said: "He has lost his job because of this."

As Sheriff Kevin Veal sentenced him to 160 hours' community service and ordered Allison to pay ?300 compensation, he said his actions could have "long term effects" on the woman and girl.

Later, Allison said: "I'm a daft laddie and I'm truly sorry for scaring the woman and her daughter."
