I'm gonna go back and read the press release a little more carefully.  See if it actually mentions stations it will play on....which I'm pretty sure it doesn't.  I'm just hoping ESPN, MTV, VH1, etc...stations that are actually being watched would be nice.

"Noone ever told me when, i was alone"

Black sheep Wink

That explains! a comma makes a big difference. yes

Cool ad, love it

I do absolutely hate bands that whore their songs to commercials.  that is selling out to me.

D, any thoughts?

Hum, I guess you should use the PM system to engage in conversation with a person.

Let me rephrase..

Board, any thoughts?

Or more specifically..

For those who share the opinion above, does this tarnish your view of the band?

shame seemingly I haven't advanced much. Embarrassed
I personally don?t hate hearing good songs on good TV commercials. Maybe US commercials are all craps, but I?ve seen really beautiful commercial films, even better than most of music video clips. When the commercial film is a cool one, it promotes the music efficiently far and wide.

The ad is cool. It will go well with better as well. it may be even better if they make a new film for the ad with better.

Better works better with commercial than PC.

PC doesn't work at all on it...

I also feel that PC is a bit too "uptempo" for the setting of the commercial.  When "Better" was played in the background though, it all seemed to flow alittle more smoothly.

Funniest post I've read in a long fucking time. hihi

And the type of post quoted is just as irritating as the "delete this thread" posts.

I guess this does mean Better is the first single. I was kind of hoping for TWAT.

Call me crazy, but wouldn't it have been cool if Axl comes out of a bar in the town with all the "black sheep" gathered around, jumps on a Harley and rolls out of town. Just have Axl wearing some jeans, biker boots, sporting a goatee, shirt sleeves cut off flashing the tats. Axl is kind of the "black sheep" of rock and roll. The commercial stays the same with Axl coming out at the end. Grin

If better isn't going to be a single (I believe it will be BTW), then it may be the basis of a soundtrack promoting CD on TV.  The die-hards know the song, but how many % of joe public will be sure that it's GnR  Huh

All things being good,, it will be both a single and a song on a promotional soundtrack

Axl has one of the most distinguishable voices from anybody.. I find it very hard to believe that even the most novice of joe public will not know they're listening to Guns N' Roses..

I just heard a rumor (but don't know how reliable it is...so the mods can feel free to delete this post) that the Better version of the Harley ad should be up and running for the Thanksgiving Football games.

That's only two days after Nov. 21st, which is the date everyone is speculating something will happen.

But the actual press release said 'early November'.

As for it being 'up and running' by Thanksgiving, what's to get up and running?  The ad's already ready!  Put it on already!
