Guns N' Fuckin Roses baby

« on: January 14, 2007, 12:17:12 AM »

Years ago I remember seeing a magazine, may have been spin but i could be wrong, that had axl, on the cover, and the title stating: what the world needs now is Axl Rose.  With every bit of guns down time or years of silence I always think about that damn magazine and how fuckin true it is.  The music world really needs axl and guns now.  I'm also reminded of the rolling stones cover that had the band with the 'hard rock heroes' quote on the cover.  Its these aspects of the media that keep the hope alive and get into our heads to keep our hope and faith up, wel this may have been pointless, but I can't wait for CD to be released and to see Guns N' Roses again on tour this year! smoking

This is the year of Guns N' Roses. We NEED them. Bad. And just like in '87 when the music scene had become so hunkered down in shit, and they rode in on their flaming horses to save the day, here we are in '07 and goddamnit if we don't need them again.

so fucking true, the world is ready for axl to take over the musiness business once again.
the time has come, the timing is perfect, the material and the band is there.
it's all up to axl now. and believe me, we will be proud we stuck with him.

it was in '99-excellent article-a must read-the history of GNR by former members, friends of GNR, Shaq did lay down a track for GNR-they were recording down the hall from him, stuck his head in the door to check them out-kind of tells mostly what Axl has been doing form '94 til '99, no comments from current members, but Moby talks about his expreience, the drummer from Pearl Jam, and so on-a great read, a must for anyone on this board

It was an old shot, but I always thought it was an impressive looking cover.?

Amazing that he even made the cover, considering there was no album. ? Not even any news.?

Probably my personal favorite magazine cover of him. The caption says it all. Didn't that cover surface right around the same time as the "Oh My God" release ??

I think if Axl is to appear on RS Mag or Spin before the album drops... the cover should read

' There Was A Time '     ok

Nope, the mag was in the spring, the song was the fall.? GNR really had nothing going on at the time of that cover.? Other than being missed.
