Seriously? It'll be No. 1 no problem. The question is will it have the biggest 1st week of the year?

the only way it wont is if it debuts against eminem or 50 cent...but i think 400-500K is the low end of what it should do...its difficult to gage but a million plus isnt out of the question...

It will most likely go number 1 for atleast the first week based on the GNR name alone. ?Then after that, its longevity will depend upon promotion, quality, media expose, etc. ?Here's to hoping that it is ever even released! ?

Not me. The market has changed in the past 15 years. It'll be Fergie, or 50 Cent, or some other wanna-be-no-talent-mother-fucker that takes the spot. It sucks to say it, but it's probably true.

I don't think it will come out #1 but if it's a good album it will get there.

Even if the biz's top music guy released an album on the same day, I believe CD will debut at #1.

I know the sayings, if the album debuts at #1, the only place it can go is down, but with a name like Guns N' Roses, and the anticipation of this album, I can't see anything keeping it from not going #1 on the debut week, except poor promo.

I agree with this...the GNR name isn't going to get MOST of the market to bite.  A great single, and good promotion (and the fact that Axl seems to have a decent relationship with MTV) will be key.  If they do it right, and no "huge" releases come out that week, I think it could debut that high.  Hell...Iron Maiden debuted at #9 in the US, last year, and that probably didn't do as well as CD will in its first few weeks.  SO, I'm sure it'll have a top 5 debut...how high depends on the single, though.

It will definately be #1. I would assume it only takes like 100k copies to be #1, if there isn't major competition.
