Hey, yesterday I went to the ice skating rink and they had a DJ there, so I had the bright idea to get him to play Better... Well, he didn't know about it, and he said, "here's some new Gnr!"  And then he played about the first 20 seconds of it and then stopped it and played something else.  I asked him why he stopped it and he said it was because his boss was there and told him he couldn't play it.  He said he would have kept playing it, but it wasn't his decision.  It kinda sucked, but it was fun while it lasted.  smoking

Good for you (not sarcastically).  I did this until last year, then gave in when I saw some of the Download performances.  Then again, I've heard it live and can play it in my head whenever I want.  Grin

The boss probably doesn't trust random music being given to DJ's to be played without checking it out first.  How was he to know it wasn't some 2 Live Crew kinda stuff?  And if he knew it was GNR, it could've been another Get in the Ring.
