I dont see the harm in alittle communication to the fans.. its just rude to tell your fans "yes its this year" and then the year just slowly passes by day by day...

and the fact that mysteron didnt give the usual "gnr will be active for a long time now, so the cd must be coming out soon" talk isnt that promising..

You notice how that comment does not support a 06 release, but rather that since GN'R are staying active it will be soon, but not this year? If it had been this year he would have repeated his comments from November. He does not.

The ad hasn't been on since October, and that was barely 24 hours. If you mean that pointless Paradise City version, yes, that is still there. But I don't see how that should comfort anyone.

Wow, I haven't been on this board in quite a while.....It is good to see and hear that the tour is doing very well.....I was hoping to see SOMETHING on CD but I guess it will be next year. That's cool....I am hoping to be surprised though....can you blame me..?

I suppose this tour is successful? But successful in doin what. It's not like this tour is even acknowledged by really any1 except us and the occasional critic. It's not like the whole world is going, OMG GNR is touring, this is amazing. No1 I know even knows they are touring. Musical Artists make art, they produce that art and give it to people to enjoy. We know Axl is a great artist, but I have nothing to enjoy seeing as he has released zero of his stuff to any of his fans. I like all of my bands because they release new music and I can enjoy it and be inspired. Sure I like older bands that don't exist anymore, but there music is not as exciting as what i can experience brand new right now. I don't care for seeing a band live when they haven't released anything new for a long time. It's kinda like how KISS tours with nothing to show for it, fun show, but a few months later u dont care anymore.

If Dec 19th comes and goes without CD, I know I'll still wait for its release. The world spins regardless of whether CD is released or not.

well, when it comes to the tuesday does anybody think that the 26th may be a good date for it.  in europe cd's generally are released on a monday and in the us tuesday.  however, if can't be released on the 25th as its xmas day (apologies for stating the obvious) so tuesday the 26th could be a great idea so then we all get the cd on the same release date.  i know its boxing day, after xmas and all that but gn'r are not your general run of the mill band are they?

However, my point is still valid. Let's just think for one second. The HD ad was clearly meant to promote a new single and eventually an album. There can be no doubt about this. That also makes it highly probable that this album will be promoted by a single in advance when it's time for the album to drop. The fact that Paradise City is still running should be evidence enough that the album isn't coming this year. What are they gonna do? Release Better this week and the album the next? Cause after all, we know that's the only option left for this year. Does that seem probable? Does that seem like a smart move, business wise?

They didn't want anyone to know that 12/12 was "the Tuesday".  I just really feel as though it may be there tomorrow.... probably arriving in the stores sometime this afternoon. The 12/19 hype was just to throw us off ! I'm not guaranteeing it but I would not be shocked if this were the case.

Excellent point that few seem to have considered, chances for CD in 06 arer worse than slim to none. Best we can hope for is an anouncement from the band giving an early 07 release date.

If it was coming out tomorrow we would know because stores would have gotten the cds in friday and we would know it goes on sale tomorow from anyone who works at any store
